@GOG:

I still have my vanilla SWAT 4 installation of my bought DVD on my PC. Since it works flawlessly (no compatibility issues, no resolution problems, no flickering and no mouse probs whatsoever) I'd like to keep it on my PC. I don't know if I can reach that state again after uninstalling and installing the GOG edition :D

Is there a way to keep that installation and install the GOG edition in a separate folder so that I am able to play the Sketchkov missions or does the registry perhaps stand in the way of coexistence?

There might be a conflict as the GOG version uses Sierra/SWAT 4 folder for the InstallPath in the registry. You could install it on a virtual machine, copy the folder to your computer and test if the game works.

@Amund: Sounds a bit complicated but I can give it a try. I'll also make a zip of my current SWAT 4 folder just in case things go sour, then i just reinstall the game and patch it and overwrite all files :-)

@Kill Kenny & Mario Face: Oh cool, and I thought all those years all Gamespy games are dead online.... guess I was wrong. Is there still a community then?

Yep, even though it could be ridiculously hard and frustrating, I played Rogue Spear to death.

I'm not sure what those strange circular disc like things in your photos are though. I don't know where I'd insert them into my surface pro ;P
