Supraland is now available DRM-free. Get it 33% off until July 16th, 6pm UTC. Demo of the game is also available.

Supraland is a First-Person Metroidvania Puzzle game. The main sources of inspiration are Zelda, Metroid and Portal. Explore, find secret upgrades, solve puzzles, beat up monsters, find new abilities that help you reach new places.

With the "for the sake of it" comment I was refering to a case of "I will only buy on gog because I want it DRM-free" but it IS DRM-free on Steam since forever. This ignorance and "for the sake of it" attitude made me a little angry.
I have not a single bad thought about gog.
I'd prefer to buy any given game on GOG regardless of it being DRM-free on other storefronts. This because GOG actively champions freedom from DRM in games, and I want to support that effort. Come to think of it, it's rather incredible that there is an outfit that chooses to go against the grain that way.

Yes, that phrase made me angry too, you still posted exactly that (see the screenshot I posted here) and now you deleted that post on Discord instead of just apologizing, that's just dishonest. Most people wouldn't mind an indie dev with no PR department having a few wrong words slipping out, but pretending it never happened is another matter.

I'd say that being a GOG customer just like being a Linux user is being against the mainstream for the sake of it is pretty much having a bad thought about GOG.

From what i've seen on videos on youtube, game performs equally on windows and linux.
I'm getting similar results to what i see, on a gtx 750ti 2gb and a gtx 1060 3gb.

I don't like that disclaimer very much tho..

It sounds like "buy on Gog at your own risk" O_o

Thanks for releasing it with all its features.
I rarely buy modern games if they do not come with full GOG Galaxy support.

I'm not agree with that. Steam drm-free games are only 50% drm-free games. On GOG are 100% drm-free because:

1º.-Access is 100% free of any drm (steam games can't accomplish this point).
2º.-The execution of the games doesn't depend on any drm.

So,Why should I settle for a 50% drm-free version when I can have 100%?

Having said that, I want to thank you for releasing this game on GOG with all its Galaxy features. Sadly not all Devs does this. I think you've made a great game and it deserves to unlock 100% of the achievements.

The only thing that prevents me from buying your game is support. It would not be the first game on GOG that is abandoned "only for Gog version". And the warning on the game page does not help much either. I would like to know if you intend to keep the game updated as it happens in other platforms (Steam for example).

I've been about to buy your game, but previous experiences prevent me for that. There are games with missing updates and content "only for GOG". And the statements I've quoted don't help to trust you.

I'm still very interested in your game, but I'm going to wait to see if you comply with these issues. If all goes well in the future, you'll have earned a buyer (Supraland 2 included). But keep one thing in mind, I always be a GOG buyer.

And if it runs badly on Windows I suggest you run the Playstation version through an emulator.
You know who can do something about and in fact is responsible for how well a game runs? I'll give you a second. No, it's not the engine. Not the flying spaghetti monster either. No. I'll tell you: the developer! Shock and surprise, I know.

The dev explained things imo pretty good so I just bought it and also thank the dev for taking the time to explain it directly here in the GOG forum which is a thing that unfortunately does not happen often.

In general, it is everywhere and with all games. The difference is only in the text of the disclaimer and its length. Warranty after purchase does not give anyone.

Try asking Windows gamers if they are willing to buy Linux-only game and run it under WSL or VirtualBox to variable degree of success. They might end up been more vocal than we are...

Instead of blaiming Epic, too small Linux sales, Linux and GOG users been ignorant, you should have just said that you don't have resources to do a proper release.
No one would have complained.

The game looks good.
But if it stays Windows-only, then i'll wait for some giveaway or 75%+ discount and a Platinum status for running under Wine.
There're plenty of Linux games and developers i want to support...

Well, that disclaimer is a strange one, agreed. Luckily you never bought anything from the dev or the company directly, you made a contract with GOG and they guarantee you that the game is running or that they can make it run if you meet the requirements. The GOG guarantee offers you the refund possibility if this should not be the case.
