Sachys: the map does change - not all of it and not always much. things are always changin in tha zee!
Awesome thanks! This is in line with what I was expecting (it looked like certain "blocks" of town and coastline would always be linked, but perhaps... shift where they were actually to be found). I like it!

Seems to be - I've played about... 18 hours plus so far. Died a few times, retired once and so far quite a few things have moved - occasionally a fair bit, but not so much I cant find it again. You'll also get directions to some places when given a quest.

On that note - I do suggest people have some scrap paper and a pen handy for directions / quest specifics when given as (unless the relaease update has changed anything) thse can also change a little on a new game / arent always clearly shown in the journal.

So the game doesn't have an internal map?
Yes! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Finally!
The setting has my attention, but I'll wait for some reviews regarding the gameplay and overall quality of this release.

One thing which bothers me is the lack of a consistent style for the character portraits. Some look all right, but others don't seem to suit the dark setting of the game so well. This bothered me about Lords of Xulima as well ( great game otherwise ), but I guess you have to make some compromises when you're working with a small team and budget.

IronArcturus: So the game doesn't have an internal map?
yes - just the quest notes remain in a shortened form, so you might want to keep more detailed notes.
also the map ONLY shows what you have uncovered and doesnt hold your hand with waypoints except when the zeebat has found soemthing.
I have no idea what this game is about (sans the short description here), but this is easily the most memorable tag line ever.
This looks awesome! Definitely going to snag this in a week or two.

Rixasha: Hmm. there's no game specific forum yet so I'll try here.

Looks like an interesting game. Tempted, but has anyone tried to run it on Linux+Wine yet? Old results in the winehq appdb give it a garbage rating, but a comment suggests the cause for that is simple to workaround, and a newer Wine should just work.

There’s an experimental Linux build, which we’ll share it with anyone who emails us with proof of purchase. We don’t formally support Linux at present, though we’d like to. It will depend on how much work it would be for our developers, and on how the game sells.

Curious... Although it's noted as a horror roleplaying game, it seems like something i'd try...

horror as a broad genre yes - but its definately more black humoured, Lovecraftian and macabre than gore, jump scares and tension.
Looks very interesting, thanks!
Wishlisted, this looks very interesting.

Hmmm i can't help but see one of the first screenshots with a ferret and playing with it, and reminds me of NWN for the druid where you can talk to your animal companion and play with it, scold it, feed it (heals) and other simple scripts. It always unnerved me because the strongest one i could choose was usually the spider and... i have a fear of spiders... In some says early in NWN was more horror than a D&D game.

God my backlist is too long... I'll probably die of old age before i finish all my games.
