amok: If you like the game world, give this a try: http://fallenlondon.storynexus.com/
I curious about Sunless Sea before launch so tried out the Fallen London browser based precursor a few weeks back and while it's possible I under-estimated things it seemed disappointingly microtransition based.

Licurg: This looks excellent :D I'll have to wait for a sale tho .
Dude, 10% off right now! : P

Hmm. there's no game specific forum yet so I'll try here.

Looks like an interesting game. Tempted, but has anyone tried to run it on Linux+Wine yet? Old results in the winehq appdb give it a garbage rating, but a comment suggests the cause for that is simple to workaround, and a newer Wine should just work.

Might be some info on this: http://steamcommunity.com/app/304650/discussions/0/522730701842966760/

dev says an experimental linux port on the go (last june / july) - so some hope at the least.
Nice release! Hmm, to buy now, or keep on the Incredibly Shrinking Wishlist so that I have something to look forward to later?
Contemplating this... when's the stream?

This might be my first day one purchase on GoG! If so I'll be sure to post a few impressions here later on tonight / tomorrow.

Quick question - is the map random? I thought I read when you die, you can pick "perks," one of which is keeping your previous map (so your new character has an idea of where stuff is and such). Am I to take from that, that should I NOT pick such a perk we get a new map / world every time we play? I'm hoping for random map generation (though I'm guessing from looking at screenshots, the cities and locations will be the same just in different areas of the map).

I'm pretty sure the map stays the same. From the videos of gameplay I've seen the map was always the same. I think it's just the stats and text stories that change.

But I heard this game is like a roguelike. So what exactly is randomized?
Now this looks interesting as fuck
