Summer's Gone - Season 1 is a high-quality, interactive visual novel – so if that sounds like your type of game, it’s now available on GOG!

This game is about healing, hope, and love. Overcome obstacles together, face demons of the past, and eventually... be happy. The game deals with many essential topics, especially mental health, ambition and love. Depression, shame, loneliness, and not fitting into a social template are some of the primary topics.

That’s not all though; you can also get:
Summer's Gone - Lover's Delight Wallpapers
Summer's Gone - The Book Club - Wallpapers
Summer's Gone - Season 1 Bundle

Now on GOG!
Ah yes. Nothing heals a boroken mind like fucking the depression out. *sigh* I hate when a game description looks good, but then you click on it and it looks like another cheap porn game.

You obviously never actually played an AVN. Or at least not good ones.

Cavalary: Huh... the last four screenshots look like they belong in a different game.

neumi5694: They play a VR game ingame.
Ah, that makes sense. Might have been mentioned in the description or something, so those won't seem so out of place.

neumi5694: NICE

Be aware, that this is not your typical adult VN, it does not contain a lot of explicity.
It's a lot more like romantic TV teenie dramas with some spice. It also has some great visuals.
Seems like it, saw a review saying it has the least amount of lewd content of any AVN the reviewer had played. Interesting choice.

Well, it`s a decently written story with interesting characters, I`m happy that it landed here.
I would be even happier if this sort of games would not be sold in "seasons", but as a complete story.

If you had releases this game and called it a porn game, all the porn game fans would be mad at you now and rightfully so.

If for you "prerendered Visual Novel" is the same as "cheap porn game" however (ps: how do you call the manga shovelware then that looks nothing like this game?), you are absolutely right. All the VNs rendered in DAZ look pretty much alike, indepentent from the content.
... where I must say that the creators here have done some nice moody animations combined with stylish music, which of course is not possible to show in screenshots.

Do we count Phoenix Wright in this?
At least there's some attempt to tell a story.

If it wasn't for the plastic sex doll graphics it might actually pass for a non-embarrassing release.

I agree.
Judging books by their cover, aren't we?

I'm okay with people playing a game and not liking it much, but most of the haters here haven't even touched any AVN in their life.

When I begin a new AVN the characters also look like plastic dolls to me but it's the writing of them that make the chars come to life. And many devs really know how to do it.

I wouldn't bet on that.
You know: hypocrisy.

Not really. That would be if we judged the game by the box cover art. Or I guess the promotional banner art these days. Anyway, graphics in a game are not some unrelated bit of art on the cover, games are a visual medium and graphics are an important, integral part of the whole thing, and part of the storytelling too.

Now, is it possible for a game to be fun, even good despite bad graphics? Sure. Darkside Detective is a great example for me, the writing in that game is absolutely stellar and I had a whale of a time with it despite the mediocre pixel graphics and near total lack of any animation. But those still are points I hold against it, that prevent it from being an all time classic like Monkey Island or Chains of Satinav for me.

Why don't you just play Leap of Faith or Acting Lessons? The writing is amazing and you will definetly forget that the chars look like plastic figures.

I judged a lot of games by their screenshots and now I realized how wrong I was with some games. I mean, I don't like rogue-like mechanics but I can say that because I played a ton of games with those mechanics. But I even made an exception now with "Peglin" because it's just a charming game all around.

Because there's over a 130 games on my wishlist that I actually want to play?

I also agree .

I would buy many of these games if the developers finally would stop using Genesis 9 with the default Victoria / Michael models Until then i still smell the plastic sence of these games .

Well, I did my best. LoF has 4.8 stars on GoG (and I've read a lot of reviews) so many other people do agree with me. You don't, no problem :)
