Wild Dr. West

Subterrain, the top-down sci-fi horror/survival set in an underground Martian city, is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 33% launch discount.

What do you mean they cut the power? How could they cut the power, man, they are bloody mutants!
And yet the power is out. In fact this whole underground, damp, god-forsaken colony is out. But Dr. West is not out. He is actually pretty deep in a giant heap of trouble, as the lone survivor of this mysterious, terrifying calamity that befell the whole settlement. Out is where he wishes he was.

You'll need to make the most out of whatever you can salvage, then craft some half-decent gear, research new items, and tread carefully in the dark corridors of this Martian colony. Constantly evolving mutants are roaming the hallways ahead and your flashlight beam may not manage to reveal their ugly faces quickly enough. You must be prepared to blast or slash them to pieces and then lick your wounds in safety. This is a persistent, randomly-generated world that does not care for your survival. As the infection starts slowly creeping up on you, escape is the only option, if you don't want to succumb to it.

Use your aim, your resourcefulness, and your courage to escape the mutant-infested corridors of Subterrain, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 33% launch discount will last until April 13, 1:59 PM UTC.
Yay, it's 'released' finally :)

On a more serious note; I'm finding this game to be quite overwhelming at first. Maybe it's all the generator power consumption stuff, or maybe it's the researching and 'crafting' that has me reluctant to play. I guess I should take the developer's word for it and just 'play it the first time, fail, and come back with the proper knowledge to win'.
Anyways, it's a very nice game.
*oops, it's only been 5 weeks!*
Nice to see that it is officially released now. It looks awesome and I will pick it up.

Edit: Sorry, I was wrong about the Insomnia price.

Is it a shooter a builder a sandbox or what?
It looks like a game I could love if the goddamn lights were on in the base. As it is, it looks like a game I would hate. Darkness as a game mechanic is one thing I've never enjoyed.

Teleglitch is great though. :O
Though the darkness is more a line of sight thing.

The other day I was thinking about giving Teleglitch a go but, as usual, the "oldschool" flesh and boned couch partner wasn't there ;(
I know, singleplayer only, but it's hard to gather some dude to play with these days.

Shame on them. If you can get a co-op partner to join you play Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime though.
Amazing.

I have a friend that comes to my house once every few weeks to play local co-op games. :)

survival with guns among other weapons, crafting, persistent problems...
So much survival that you are required to defecate and urinate beside the typical sleeping, eating, drinking.
Don't worry, it pixels you to bits when visiting the toilet.

Sounds a little on the complex side so I'll go ahead and wishlist it in case it ever goes 90% off or something. :P

It's not like you'll be playing anything other than Stardew Valley for the forseeable future.

It definitely is, at first. There are difficulty settings, which help ease into the different elements without feeling like the clock wants to kill you.

Annoy them until you get it!

But it's cheaper now than it was in the Insomnia sale? I expect to see some angry customers here.
EDIT: Scratch that. The discount is the same

Just like the malfunction(?) in the BG: EE games sale is poor manners as well: for some reason it's cheaper to buy them separatedly than all of them together
