Sadly GOG versions are outdated . I sent a ticket about it :/
The discount on Steamworld Dig is already gone? Jeez ...
I hate these short time offers. Reading back the posts of the last few days 80% has been a good discount for Steamworld Dig and I missed it by less than half an hour...

BoBFiSh: Steamworld dig was really fun, you basically get a number of zones each with varying enemies and hazards. I didn't find it mega difficult but it kept me engaged throughout and the limited story was delivered in a nice way.

It is also played in real-time unlike Heist where you play in turns. From what I sussed out Heist is based after Dig but they aren't directly linked.

Kunovski: well... you dig :D

the system is basically the first Diablo, only platform/jumpy instead of clickity-click... you start on the surface (some shops there, quest givers) and you go down, you can freely choose where to dig (if you go straight down you obviously might miss something higher up)... you find and gather money to get through harder terrain (lower down) and stuff...

it's a lot of fun really :)

Vainamoinen: It's a different kind of game set in the same universe. The robot galaxy, art style and some of the sound effects are the same, and Steamworld Dig also employs a much simplified version of the shopping mechanics. But that's basically it. Steamworld Dig is a fun action game with plenty of button mashing. There's nothing actiony in Steamworld Heist.
Thank you all for the replies! Sorry for the late response. Platforming Diablo sounds good to me. :)

I contacted one of their support guy , and he said we are small company can't update all platforms same time . I really laughed when I heard this . Nearly 4 year passed for SteamWorld Dig . And When I said my concerns about SteamWorld Heist he said they are minor differences and doesn't affect your game . I laughed again . I want only 1:1 same thing with Steam . Because I paid some money with Steam . Why DRM-free versions are inferior ?

There's a "b" behind the exact same version number (1.10) on Steam. According to the developers, the versions are virtually identical. There's no reported bug or other disadvantage that GOG players have that Steam users do not.

I'm 20 hours into the game and have yet to experience anything that remotely looks like a bug or anything that would even remotely justify calling the GOG version "inferior".

Sure this update is not only to do with some Steamworks features? You can not have 1:1, as Steam have things gOg dnt provide for (such as cards, for example).

The developers say they are "virtually identical", so unless you have anything else, then I will not go around shouting inferior just yet.

I don't want cards already . :S

Version 1.10b (2014-09-12)
* Fixed crash during OpenAL initialize when missing default device (Note: However, in most cases this is only replaced by an error message to the user.)
* Added setting Visualizer.DisablePostProcess which disables the fullscreen framebuffers (and as a result bloom and world brightness).
* Added setting Input.ShowAllActionBinds that includes all actions, including menu actions, in the controls binding menu.
* Updated SDL library on Linux to 2.0.3.

This is changelog for 1.10b and SteamWorld Heist changes even undocumented (some of them about UI) . I won't accept this as identical .
