Starpoint Gemini 2: Titans a hulking addon for the open-world space sim, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. If you don't have the game yet, you can also pick up Starpoint Gemini 2 at 75% off and the Secrets of Aethera DLC at 66% off.

Things are about to change forever. The titans, an experimental class of hulking destroyers, are the ultimate goal of a brutal arms race that has swept across the Gemini universe. Three warring factions are about to make their final stand for domination...
Starpoint Gemini 2: Titans is more expansion than simple DLC. It features three new end-game campaigns (one for the Baeldor baronies, The Nyxia consortium, and the democratic Korkyra) as well as a whole another level of power with three unique Titan-class ships that can pretty much single handedly decide the fate of the universe.

The ships look like ants from your Titan command deck in Starpoint Gemini 2: Titans, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last until Saturday, November 21, 3:59 PM GMT.

IronArcturus: Wait, I thought the first game was still needed to play the Titans expansion.
Well you need Starpoint Gemini 2 for it. The free Origins DLC "only" brings the original Starpoint Gemini 1 campaign to SG2.

Edit: And ninja'd.

So are the Titan and Aethera DLC's worth it? Also, does the game work better with KB+Mouse or does it need a joystick?

Sorry but don't think i can help you with your question. I only played SG2 for a few minutes so far with mouse and keyboard. I only know the Origins stuff from the gamecard.
Does the game have a stand-alone manual?

IronArcturus: Does the game have a stand-alone manual?
Well Steam has a manual on the SG2 gamepage (PDF).

Interesting point. Does that mean there is no reason to bring SG1 to GOG anymore?

Apparently not. As far as i understand the Origins DLC covers all of SG1 story-wise. Don't know if there were other ships etc. in SG1 though...

SG 1 had a free DLC called Gladiators and an expansion called Timebreach.

Were the contents of those included in Origins?
Does anyone know if there is a way to "bring back" the Origins DLC in the game? When I first started it up, it asked if I wanted to use DLC or not. But if the user clicks no, then the DLC menu disappears. Is there a way to bring this back later on in the game?

I don't know and would like to because I'm also interested in SG2.

I couldn't find anything concerning that but assuming that Origins is basically a port of the SG1 story the few new missions from Timebreach might be included in it. But i'm only guessing here...

You're welcome. It's actually a pity that GOG doesn't have the manual for it.

Luckily there is an in-game tutorial to use as well! The game is pretty cool; it's very similar to Freelancer!
