Starpoint Gemini 2: Titans a hulking addon for the open-world space sim, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. If you don't have the game yet, you can also pick up Starpoint Gemini 2 at 75% off and the Secrets of Aethera DLC at 66% off.

Things are about to change forever. The titans, an experimental class of hulking destroyers, are the ultimate goal of a brutal arms race that has swept across the Gemini universe. Three warring factions are about to make their final stand for domination...
Starpoint Gemini 2: Titans is more expansion than simple DLC. It features three new end-game campaigns (one for the Baeldor baronies, The Nyxia consortium, and the democratic Korkyra) as well as a whole another level of power with three unique Titan-class ships that can pretty much single handedly decide the fate of the universe.

The ships look like ants from your Titan command deck in Starpoint Gemini 2: Titans, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last until Saturday, November 21, 3:59 PM GMT.
Nice! Titans sound amazing!
Looks great! I am probably gonna snatch it even though I have a backlog.. dammit.
It's only a few days, that I've been playing X3 - Albion Prelude...

...and here comes Starpoint Gemini 2 for 8.09 euros!
It's always hard to resist spaceships at such price, but I'm trying!

Anyway thanks GOG for the new DLC release and the great base game discount.
Deal ends saturday... might manage it... IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCE!
Considered I really disliked the gameplay in Strike suit zero I was wondering how is the combat and movement in this game?
"you can also pick up Starpoint Gemini at 75% off"

I think you meant Starpoint Gemini 2 since GOG doesn't have the first game in the series...
How well does this game run in DirectX 10 mode?
In the main game page https://www.gog.com/game/starpoint_gemini_2

it states...
Now includes Starpoint Gemini 2: Origins - Play through the 30 storyline missions of the original Starpoint Gemini, re-envisioned as free DLC for Starpoint Gemini 2!

does this mean it literally plays the first game in full but in this newer graphics engine?
How does Starpoint Gemini 2 (with or without the expansions/DLC) compare to Rebel Galaxy?

Marioface5: How does Starpoint Gemini 2 (with or without the expansions/DLC) compare to Rebel Galaxy?
Yeah, I would like to know about this as well. I've read that Startpoint Gemini 2 is similar to Freelancer, but I've never played SG2 before.
Rebel Galaxy has better immersion and story,

...but it ultimately feels more shallow. The missions aren't as varied imho. SPG2 also has more ships and ship classes. SPG2 also 'feels' more like space because you can move in a 3D plane. Its got more activities like capturing enemy ships and selling them, you can bounty hunt famous pirates, etc.

Combat feels better in Rebel Galaxy, and the UI is better in Rebel Galaxy as well.

Personally I like SPG2 more, but its not as mainstream as Rebel Galaxy. RG is just easier to grasp and start playing. SPG2 has a bit of a learning curve, and the story is kinda meh so you aren't as excited about playing unless you like sandbox games.

I own both and love them to pieces.

Thanks GOG for FINALLY bringing Titans over to GOG!

I think it's self explanatory & a great value for money too since we no longer need the first game on GOG. Unless there is a catch (eg. content cut).

Wait, I thought the first game was still needed to play the Titans expansion.

Titans expansion needs the base game SG2. SG2 also contains the missions of SG in the form of free DLC. Or at least that's what the SG2 gamepage says, as HornyRhino pointed out.
