NuffCatnip: collaboration
the action of working with someone to produce something

Not one Capcom developer worked on this, this was made by SNK and SNK alone, there was no collaboration.

Johnathanamz: I have never said a video game developer from Capcom has developed this video game. I said this is a Capcom video game because it has Capcom's name in it and therefore Capcom approved this. Capcom approved this video game to be sold on gog.com, therefore there was some Capcom involvement with this video game. Learn how trade marks work dude. Capcom let this video game to be sold on gog.com and every sale this video game gets on gog.com is one step further for Capcom approving more of their published video games to be sold on gog.com.
Wow, an executive in a suit said "yes you can port this game". This game really does have the Capcom feel all over it. /s

The game both looks and plays like an SNK game (for better or worse), sound effects/character sprites were later re-used for a future KOF games and the Balrog/Boxer character sprite in this is a modified sprite of a KOF character.
It is entirely made by people under SNK with just authorization and minor input from Capcom. Everything in this game came directly from an SNK employee with just someone on the Capcom side saying what characters they were allowed to use and give an okay to any promo art/sprite work for those characters. Capcom had no input on overall gameplay or the SNK side of characters. While yes it's a Capcom IP based game, they gain only a fraction of the profit off of any success from this title, if you want to better support more Capcom games coming to GOG then I suggest buying any of their published titles here:

Semantics have taken over yet another thread. :-(
Dispite the typically lovely pixel art, this is easily one of SNK's roughest and most unbalanced fighters, I wouldn't call it a bad game, but you can really feel the rough dev cycle this one went through. It's nice to see here, but I am no way biting at that over-inflated price tag.

SNK, can we please have the new Samurai Shodown and KOFXV now please?

Nice, happy to see this release here! Never had the chance to play it back in the day as I believe it only released on Xbox in the US and I was a PS2 gamer.

Well at least this one is still open. Hail and hurrah to our ministerial brothers in truth.

That would be very nice, very nice indeed.

So what you are saying is: Capcom and SNK collaborated?
Well, thanks.
But we knew that already.

;o)
Crossover gaming, SNK graphics, I played the game many years ago and it plays like an old King of Fighters. Cool that it's here.
Think we'll get the Marvel vs Capcom re-release?

Maybe, not too far fetched to imagine that it likely was brought up during talks regarding potential (re-)releases beyond what already has been available on GoG (Street Fighter Alpha 2 & Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen) and Resident Evil 1-3.

Wouldn't hold my breath for a day 1 release just yet though.

I don't think there are any Marvel games on GOG are there? I'm not sure why though as there are other Disney properties here. Perhaps Marvel has more autonomy to decide where their stuff goes? Even the LEGO games - where we have Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean - there's none of the LEGO Marvel games. People have also assumed we'd get Sony's Spider-Man games "soon" but I'm not so sure because of this. I hope I'm wrong though!

Well, we used to have Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Telltale Series here before it got delisted with the Telltale company closure. So there was at least one Marvel game here at one point, hopefully we get more in the future.

All comes down to how satisfied both Disney and Capcom are with sales on GOG, so they will listen to wallets being pulled out to pay for there games above all.

Do you think Capcom is watching or even has access to the numbers for an SNK release that is probably just using their license?

I was replying to someone wondering about the Marvel vs. Capcom games which Disney and Capcom are involved with.
