It says 36 playable characters, I counted 24 characters in character select screen, I presume many are unlockable?

There are a lot of hidden characters that require specific inputs on the character select screen to use. They weren't permanently unlockable in the original, you had to put in the inputs each time to select a specific character. Not sure about this version if that's still the case.

Johnathanamz: Finally a fifth Capcom video game being sold on gog.com, after Street Fighter II, Resident Evil 1, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3. Capcoms name is trade marked so SNK VS. CAPCOM: SVC CHAOS needed Capcoms approval to be sold on gog.com, before any one says this has nothing to do with Capcom.

wolfsite: Yes they needed Capcom to approve the usage of there characters but this game is considered an SNK game as they did development duties.

The Capcom vs. SNK series is Capcom developed but needing SNK to approve the usage of there characters.

I will be fine with having both series here :).
It is a collaboration between SNK and Capcom, so it is both a SNK video game and a Capcom video game.

Wrong, Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 was developed by Capcom.
This was solely developed by SNK.

Edit: I knew some would drive me mad with their comments. :P

You are wrong again SNK VS. Capcom: SVC CHAOS would not exist without the approval of Capcom.

Giving approval to use your IPs does not equal to collaborating on something.

If you think that is how words work, then I will let you believe that.
high rated
I'm sure that Japanese developers are against hiding stuff in their games.

Waiting for the Marvel Vs Capcom game, which was developed by Capcom.

While PC version of the Shin Nihon Kikaku (SNK/Playmore, a company year older) game was developed/remastered by Code Mystics, a Canadian video game developer, and published by SNK after 21 years with enhancements like hitbox indicators and multiplayer options. A different than in the 2003 game.

Capcom is in the title and has a blooming bunch of characters within it. Rights to characters must be part of agreements.

While this is SNK game just like remastered https://www.gog.com/game/metal_slug_4 or original https://www.gog.com/game/metal_slug

Who cares xD I like multiplayer in it and single gamers too. To the Wish Wash Lake. Good enough to play if one likes this genre.

I'm right, I don't need your approval. :)

I for one have to speak multiple languages on a daily basis, sorry if my english isn't up to your standards, but hey, at least I know what collaboration means. :P

English is my standard, English is my first language. I live in the USA my dude. If Capcom never gave the approval this video game would never exist.

collaboration
the action of working with someone to produce something

Not one Capcom developer worked on this, this was made by SNK and SNK alone, there was no collaboration.

I have never said a video game developer from Capcom has developed this video game. I said this is a Capcom video game because it has Capcom's name in it and therefore Capcom approved this. Capcom approved this video game to be sold on gog.com, therefore there was some Capcom involvement with this video game. Learn how trade marks work dude. Capcom let this video game to be sold on gog.com and every sale this video game gets on gog.com is one step further for Capcom approving more of their published video games to be sold on gog.com.

I'm done with this btw.

Collaboration does not mean video game development involvement. It also means just people talking to each other giving ideas.

Collaboration (Latin co- ‘with’, laborare ‘to work’) is an ideally co-operation between persons or groups of persons.

In this case, it means - at the very least - that Capcom gave their "ok" for SNK to use their IP, names and their company name for its title.

That means, Capcom did collaborate with SNK!

Capcom could also simply have crossed their arms, said "no!" and that would have been it for SNK's game.

In that case, Capcom would not have collaborated with SNK!

Nobody here knows exactly, how Capcom may have further supported SNK in the making of this game, beyond that permission, to use their property.

Maybe Capcom handed material over to SNK, which SNK then used for development?
We don't know.

But that doesn't matter, because "giving their permission" was already an act of collaboration.
