I have the original, I played the original, I 100% the original, and I have 55 hours in the original... and I can't remember a thing about the story :). The gameplay is typical final fantasy 1, and what kept me playing were the simple but familiar turnbased battles. My play time is so inflated because I really wanted to max out every character, but you shouldn't need more than 8-10 hours to finish the game. This makes it a perfect "fast-food game" for the weekend.

Publishing dispute. The developers won publishing rights but had to relist.
