Deadly exhibits.

Shivers, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Acting on a dare that you took to shut up your stupid friends, you find yourself spending the night inside a spooky museum, hunting down a bunch of escaped spirits that don't like your face one bit. Never played this one but bought it to support more classic adventure games on GOG, and I presume I'll enjoy it (if I ever get around to it!).

Everyone, if you've ever read any of my posts you know I never use uppercase (or other tricks) to attract attention or anything. Please, excuse me this one time :) I am so excited to see one my top favorite games here! I can't really remember how many times I have previously asked for this game here in the forums. GOG you made a loyal customer very happy today. Thank you, sincerely. Best. Store. Ever. Stay true. Stay DRM-free. I love you.
In that case I'll remind GOG to get Don Bluth's and American Laser Games classics here in GOG as well. ;)

Enjoy Shivers btw! :D *bought it myself as well*
Yay! More classics! <3

_ChaosFox_: I presume that this release is no coincidence in relation to the comparatively recent addition of Shivers support to ScummVM (i.e. last December)?

There was literally no way to get this running on a modern PC otherwise.
For real. I used to play it through Dosbox running Windows 3.1. It was a mess. I know I can just play it on SCUMMVM, but I want to support GOG getting one of my all-time faves.
Good to see the classic adventure genre get a boost!
Is this game good?

You are the one user I was specifically waiting to see pop up here. I'm truly happy for you as there's no better (gaming) feeling than seeing your top or one of your top and most sought after titles releasing in all its glory! Especially when the price is beyond fair.

That's me :D Yes, you got that right, my "gaming" feelings right now are difficult to describe! This game was a great part of my gaming life back then: a present from my father, playing it with friends for hours, on my first PC ever... Please excuse the more "personal" tone in these words, the game is perfect itself and I love it (I also wrote a review for it), it's just that great memories got the best of me at the moment :)
This looks entirely like a mid 90s adventure game.

To which I mean, I wish anyone brave enough to play this, Good Luck.
Freakin' incredible week for classics GOG! Thanks to you and publishers!

Well, it's finally here. Wow. Stay awesome, GOG!
Random factoid. There is a crate in this game that says "Is alright? Is alright." when clicked on twice.
Sorry Activision. I would even supply GOG with the necessary files so it would support German as well but as usual English only since it is Activision. So I will have to pass on this one as well.

Glad for everybody else though since it's a cool game.
Just gave it a quick spin. They really did a solid job on this one. They even got rid of those awful scanlines that plagued the FMV sequences in most Sierra games of the era! (Gee, I wish they'd do the same for Phantasmagoria 2)

edit: Wow! Turns out they already DID the same for Phanta2! Amazing! Honestly, this represents such a massive upgrade in visual quality, they should have done a newspost about it.
