Kunovski: you do... but you can fake it ;) just create an account using whatever email and other details, the page will still give you download links, you don't have to "verify" your email or anything ;)
That#s all right for me then :) Thanks again.

MarkoH01: It was not GOG who removed anything. It seems as if this is just the version they received from the publishers. They probably want it this way for whatever reason.
Looking at the screenshots available on the same site as that demo, I can see why gOg is getting a version with less than the full content. With depictions of sex with penetration - including double penetration - in the screenshots,it wouldn't surprise me if gOg is not yet willing to sell that content.

Sekai Project: GOG has requested last minute content edits before the release of Shining Song Starnova. We'll update the free DLC on Denpasoft in light of the edits. If you already own an early access copy on Steam or GOG, you will have to re-download and re-apply the DLC once it is updated.

I am glad that there is a censored version, as I prefer to read it that way, but I do wonder what “last minute content edits” they are talking about.

So GOG has requested additional edits? GOG has requested censoring? Than I am out and not interested anymore at all. Don't care how much they edited but since I hate censoring I won't support it here.

I imagine the GOG version is the same as the eventual Steam version will be, but what does it matter since the uncut version patch is free?

Just because the uncensor patch is currently free and available, it doesn't necessarily remain the case in the future. Not all consumers would be informed about the existence of this patch, weakening their ability to choose their content. Worse, it sets a precedent for GOG that will infect future offerings with censorship.

Censorship harms the medium, and should not be encouraged.

It seems GOG rejected the "all ages" version and Steam too.

GOG choose additional edits (I can think of a certain Rape-Theme if I recall a review I read today) and was able to publish it. Steam release is not set until now, I think maybe they want additional edits in a much larger scale.

The game story is quite... therefore I get the uproar by the publishers. It was meant as a critic on the idol-scene, but pushes all its negative traits for the sake of the fan who buys the game.

As long as I get the uncut patch for free and the cut game on itself still is playable, I can live with that.

If it is in fact the same version I have no problem. The problem I have is that the facebook post sounds as if GOG ... and only GOG ... has asked for ADDITIONAL edits. It's a principle I don't want to support - this has nothing to do wuith the game or what is missing or can be re-edited. As I said - it's a principle thing.

as long as there's an uncensored version available from the developers, why is this such a problem? GOG simply decided to go for a milder version for whatever reason

it's like blaming Playboy to only show photos of a model in swimsuit while you know she also did nudes elsewhere... go there then ;) the only one censoring anything are the devs who created a "mild" version in the first place

SirYodaJedi: Only MP3? No FLAC?
Soundtrack = MP3
Vocal Collection = WAV (aprox. 150 MB each!)

can't it just be that GOG has standards? and while they want this game here (because it's good), they don't want the unnecessary scenes in it (rape, was it?), and since the devs were willing to provide such service, that's what they offer

and I don't believe anybody who would buy this game here would not be able to get the uncensoring patch - this is 2018 after all

Could you please stop posting links to wishlist entrys that are already completed? Imo in general there's no real reason to post whatever games we still are waiting for (and I am talking about games not even related to the one that has been released) whenever some new release is posted but at least it would be great if you could exclude those that are already here.

If GOGs standard and their choice is to self censor their games I won't support it - that's all I can say to this. You might now that Germany has a history in censoring and several games were released censored just to protect the youth (which has been a long time ago for me btw). Yes, you could get uncensor patches everywhere but that's just not the thing. However the devs censored their games to get their games rated not because they wanted. So if a store would get a censored version only there's not much this store could do than to sell it this way. However never has a German store asked for additional censoring - now GOG has and I don't like it. For everbody who just want to enjoy the uncut version I am sure they will always find a way but if I would buy this game I would support GOG censoring which probably was unnecessary (that's why games are rated - other authorities decide about the "need" of censoring) and I won't do this.

Again, the uncensored stuff I saw on the publisher/developer site was actual cartoon-ized screwing. Not just showing a couple naked bodies in a humping snuggle where you can make a guess that they're getting it on, but instead showing straight-up penetration. In one case, a toy in front and a willie (presumably "yours", playing as the producer) that appeared to be in her backside.

So yeah, on a store also selling numerous kids games, I completely understand why gOg would opt for the version that does not show that content. I'm fine with having the full versions here, but there should be some sort of separation of that content from the rest of the catalog. gOg themselves, however, may not want to fight that battle, and I would not blame them.
