Question
May i ask is Shining Song Starnova similar with Sunrider Academy? Where we can make our own decisions, routes, actions, etc. But not a normal visual story which we only read over and over again. Thanks for helping :D

Starnova contains no gameplay elements like the stat management found in academy.
I guess the best way of expressing it is as purely being a visual novel.

Hikage1983: Since i haven't played this one yet i can't speak for it's specific gameplay mechanics but
Idol Sims usually revolve around managing a girl's stats via different activities like singing, exercising etc.

MarkoH01: Ah - like "Long live the Queen". Now I understand. Thank you.
See my previous post - pure VN - no doubt with route selection... but no stats etc

MischiefMaker: I can't believe GOG turned down Mushihimesama, for years a viral video on youtube for "the hardest videogame boss ever," because it was "too niche," then turns around and publishes things like this.
And they probably rejected thousends of other games some would like to see here as well. What you call "things like this" are things some do like - obviously you don't. The fact that you don't like it does not make the game bad or makes an argument that GOG should have prefered the game you mentioned.

People imo need to understand that sometimes games will be rejected here for several reasons. I am hearing this "too niche" argument again and again but I doubt that GOG ever gave this as sole reason for rejecting a game. Even though you might like one game others might not. In this case you don't like this game maybe some would not like the game you mentioned. It's all purely subjective and often - as said before - there are many reason why a game is not accepted here we just don't know them.

So instead of complaining in a release thread about other games that aren't released maybe it would be better to be happy for those who are glad that this has arrived here.Just a friendly meant suggestion.
Good Gragarious Gravytrain I hate trailers that don't tell you anything... so many anime games do this, rather showing random art snippets with twee music and maybe a moment's worth of gameplay if they can be bothered. Means I have to do 'research'

Thats all, just saying that peevs me off, am glad it's more of an ACTUAL GAME rather than a wall of text you need to click on to progress that may or may not contain nudes or the promise of nudes

My assessment of the gameplay was wrong. Apologies :(

No need to apologize. At least now I know what a idol simulation is. So you still helped me in some way :)

Judging by the beautiful screenshots, this will be as much simulation as sTimulation :o)

'Curation' is a practical joke GOG loves.
3.4GB for a manga? yep.

Fairfox: why was this lo-rated

srs lee wuts limited 'boot it? it dont seem limited?
can you answer me?
Probably just a bad decision to name the special edition (including OST). I really doubt they limited the amount of possible purchases.

Now the question is: are the OSTs worth the price?

I like Idol music, don't get me wrong. But are those two OST DLCs worth the upgrade?

The vocal collection has only 4 songs, but in 2 variants each and the Score OST is not listed in details, running wise. What can the possible buyer expect here? Input please...
Sekai Project: GOG has requested last minute content edits before the release of Shining Song Starnova. We'll update the free DLC on Denpasoft in light of the edits. If you already own an early access copy on Steam or GOG, you will have to re-download and re-apply the DLC once it is updated.

So what's the point of bringing visual novels to GOG as alternative to Steam if you're gonna censor them anyway?

These is some bullshit PR practices kicking in.

Thought I stuffed up when they went looking for the swimsuits...
Would have been nice to know... at least they are fixing it.. but yeah... pretty unimpressed if they still censor silently

Btw where was the source of that quote?
