paladin181: Another game I will have to put on the wishlist. You can never have enough Wang!
Yeah, but apparently want isn’t in this one, they replaced him with someone from twilight series.
Hmmm... kind of sad to see they went with UE4 instead of their own engine (which powered SW 2013 and SW2), but hey, whatever works.

If that's the case the game description is misleading.
Fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang and his former employer turned nemesis turned sidekick Orochi Zilla embark on an improbable mission to recapture an ancient dragon they unwillingly unleashed from its eternal prison. Armed with a punishing mix of blades and bullets, Lo Wang must traverse uncharted parts of the world to track down the dark beast and push the apocalypse back yet again. All it will take is the mask of a dead god, a dragon's egg, a touch of magic, and enough firepower to hold off the impending cataclysm.

Doesn’t look like, sound like, or have the humour of Lo Wang.
¿Cuánto tiempo más para la versión deluxe?

probably more capitulation to asian investment. Though it could be easier to work with (Epic also offers a deal for using their engine), this is probably at the root of the purported downgrade in graphics, with a stark increase in hardware requirements.
wtf

About the engine, it was indeed a strange change, but it's cost reduction.

Here is an article about it:

I also think their original engine looked nicer. But they point out they were falling behind in features.

The Deluxe Edition can still not be purchased and there is no "upgrade to Deluxe Edition" thing in the store so buying this game at the moment means you'll not be getting the OST and the other extras. The game is available since over two weeks now. WHY IS THIS NOT FIXED YET?
I got to play this through the other day. The story is naff, it olnly lasts about 4 or 5 hours. It is nice to have actual handcrafted levels. And the guns actually do something. Pretty much everything else though is not good. The whole lets all be one team, come on support each other is very poor, as is all the dialog, and lack of humour. Lo wang is not lo wang anymore. Is this better than 2, in most ways yes. Is this even in the same ballpark as 2013 or earlier games, no where near.

The store says that the Deluxe Edition is in my library but also that it's coming soon. Might have something to do with the Koromodakosomethingorotherpreordero item we were supposed to get.

No idea what the reason is but it sucks nobody at GOG seems to give a fuck about actually fixing this. Getting in contact with a at this point non-existing support makes no sense so waiting is the only thing one can do. Sucks big time. First time I've ever seen a version of a released game on this store that you can't buy.

Oh, so the reviews claiming 6 hours were off the mark?

Funny how SW 2013 easily more than doubles that.

Considering the violence and gore, I'm surprised you guys are allowed to buy it at all.

That's not a problem anymore. Since Mortal Kombat 11 got released uncensored with an USK18 rating games with blood and gore are being rated differently. The context matters more now and when the violence is too over the top to be real then games don't really get into any trouble anymore. Even games with NS symbols like the Wolfenstein games are available now and all uncensored.

The reason for that is that the pace of SW 2013 is much slower and also the weapons in that game don't do good damage so every fight becomes tedious and drawn-out. SW3 is a faster game in general and your weapons actually kill enemies faster. If the same was already the case in SW 2013 then it would probably be a much shorter game too. I don't really see a big problem with the 5-6 hour length here when those 5-6 hours are all fun from start to the end and from what I've seen of this game so far that seems to be the case.

Could have been six hours, didn’t feel like it, I don’t do time tracking, but it was very short (finished over 2 days). It’s very much a case of follow path until you get to a large open area, monsters spawn in, kill them all repeat. There is a reasonable amount of difference in the enemies even if they are silly. The whole final boss level is just weird, I thought it was going to be the start of the story, but nope. At least weapons worked and had impact though, no excel grids trying to work out which set of half a million charms work best against which procedurally generated level, so there is that. What they did to the characters however is just terrible, not just Lo “emo” Wang, but Hoji comes across as a whiney teenager for example.
