bladerunner01: do not pre order anything...
[sic]ever, anywhere Mr.Mumbles: Pre-orders were only ever useful when one had to lock down a physical copy due to possible limited supply in game shops of yore.
Now that PC games are pretty much all digital-only, pre-ordering anything makes absolutely no sense - the likes of pre-order "goodies" can burn in the fiery pits of hell - so a person general shoots themselves in the foot when doing so. Wait for reviews, impressions, bug and game design issue reports, and then buy if everything checks out.
I did it a couple hours before the release solely for the 10% discount, assuming we wouldn't get the SS4 owner discount. Which got announced only in the release thread. Not a word about it in the pre-order thread.
My wallet refund went through 20 minutes ago and already re-bought at the 25% SS4 owner discount. I encourage everyone who got baited the same way to do the same.
Hover your name, click Orders & Settings, find Siberian Mayhem, click Ask for a refund, select "Game is now cheaper/on sale" as the reason and if you are OK with wallet refund, do that and it will be through in a day or two.
