Niggles: So basically 65% off for a skin job. Do developers have nothing to do these days except remasters and reboots?
Good question. I read, that Crytek is working on a remaster again (Crysis 2) and there is also information, that they will remaster the third game.

Why don't they just make a new game? Yeah, I understand, that making a skin is simpler and less time- and money consuming.

At least, they could have fixed the bugs in the SR3: Remastered... but no.

They learned from Hollywood. Coming up with new ideas and developing them is hard, time-consuming work. Remastering or tweaking a few things for a reboot is typically much easier and much quicker, not to mention you already have a target audience.
Glad to see it here. Can anybody tell me if this is worth getting? The original is one of my favorite games of all time, but i've beaten it like 25 times since its original release and completely played it to death. So i'm not sure if this is different enough to feel like an actual worthwhile experience for me at this point.
Please note: GOG GALAXY is required to access online features.
The original can be played in co-op over LAN. Can anyone (who has already bought and checked it out) say - does co-op via LAN in the remaster works without GALASH*T? Is this LAN-mode even there - it was not cut out, as it is fashionable now?

Online is only available via GOG Galaxy - when one tries to access the co-op campaign in the main menu - while Internet access is available and allowed and Galaxy not running - the following is presented, screenshot attached:

"You must Go Online in GOG to use this feature or re-connect to the Internet to use this feature."

nightcraw1er.488: £12 for a graphics update, wow. “ Please note: GOG GALAXY is required to access online features.” no mention of what these features are. Far better things to spend my money on.

Edit: £35 normally, FCKing hell, there is some piles of cash to be made from a bit of AI up scaling!

TomNuke: Ah, typical post from one of the resident negativity spreaders here on the forums.

Imagine getting so worked up over the mentioning of Galaxy being required for online co-op, and an exceptional remaster costing US$14...

This is a bit of AI upscaling?

So, did they add any content, no. Therefore it is a graphics update.
Is GOG Galaxy required for online features, yes.
Therefore nothing I have said is incorrect, or in fact negative. This is money for graphical update, AI up scaled or not.
Negative spreader, is that anyone who has anything bad to say about our precious GOGy friends?

As above, far better things to spend my money on, can just play the original if needed.

Thank you.
Yeah, another DRM deception.

Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package (aka: the original version):

NOTE: Multiplayer is available only through a LAN connection

----------
Saints Row®: The Third™ Remastered:

Please note: GOG GALAXY is required to access online features.

While I'm not really interested in playing MP, I can kind of understand people who are upset about this apparent change.

I'm pretty sure nobody would mind having the ADDITIONAL OPTION to play MP via an online connection.

But if you deliberately deactivate an already existing offline-coop feature completely (as it seems to be the case here) in favour of an online-MP only solution...that kinda sucks.

At the moment no. I was quite excited when they announced a remaster of 3, but after playing it i've got to say i'm disappointed with it. I'm working my way through the Steam version then will play the GOG version (for the achievements) then will remove it and just stick with the original.

The only thing this version really has going for it is better world textures. Most of the bugs that are present in the original game are still there, they have censored a few textures, and in my opinion the characters now look god awful. As well as that you've got to use Galaxy now if you want to play online.
Bought it due to the discount and will give it a play but got to say SR 2 i enjoyed more especially with the mod.
Is it true that the desktop shortcut of the game is named "Project Spekulatius"?

This was the code name that WinterSnowfall discovered some time ago. Now I want to know the origin of this weirdness XD

was just wondering whether to upgrade, and saw this, totally worth it.
I'm pretty sure I'll be buying the remaster this weekend as this is my favorite game of the series. As far as remasters go they seem to have done a commendable job.

Still wondering if we're ever going to see Agents of Mayhem here. It may not have gotten stellar reviews, but I'm interested in playing that one.

No thanks. It looks like they did not even bother to work on the sound bug (present on Xbox 360, One, and PC when driving with active radio station, you don't hear a thing from the car engine)

NovusBogus:
The idea of that gameplay always applied to me but I never got into GTA.

The closest for me was Sleeping Dogs. Which was a nice little open world.
