Runestone Keeper, a pixely roguelike dungeon crawler with a bit of minesweeper in the mix, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Look for the game available at 60% off in the Big Fall Promo Daily Deals!

You know the drill. Roguelike: check. Turn based: check. RPG: check. Dungeon crawler: check. Oh, and... minesweeper: check.
In Runestone Keeper you'll set out to explore grid-based dungeons, conquering floors of enemies, finding loot and coin, and trying not to ruin everything in one of the game's many choose-your-adventure encounters. The simple, turn-based gameplay flows at your own pace and rewards you with full-on randomization for awesome replayability, fantastic loot generation, diverse enemies, and tons of content to stumble upon. Give your soul to a god and reap the rewards, or turn on your faith and face their wrath. All this, in a great looking package that comes together to form something different, quite enjoyable, and particularly lethal.

Click, click, die, inevitably restart. Runestone Keeper is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com.
This one looks good, will need to make sure I don't already have it elsewhere.. (I'll check back after work).

Edit - deleted edit... answered own question. :)

Two grammatical errors on one screenshot? That makes me question how many other little things they let slide. I'll wait for reviews before even wishlisting this one.
Is this game similar to Desktop Dungeons?
Minesweeper?! Not so much. Minesweeper requires logical thinking. In Runestone Keeper you just click on tiles and hope for the best. There is no way of knowing what will be revealed under each tile.

Never the less, I sunk many hours in this already. Great game!

I've seen grammatical errors in much bigger games and the errors in the one screenshot could happen to anyone :)

Perhaps not under EVERY tile but you do have items that let you know whether you have monsters lying in wait within a certain range and you have a consumable item that once used will reveal a lot of things on the current map :)

"Behold! Tattoos have powers greater even than gods themselves."

Hah hah. :D

When I read "pixely roguelike" I wasn't too impressed, but I checked out the screenshots and the game actually has a nice art style and quality presentation. Not so sure about the "minesweeper" inspired gameplay, but I think at the current price I may give it a chance.

Can definitely see your point. Just doesn't make for a good first impression, especially when those very screenshots are used to advertise the game.

But... I bought a copy anyway. :x

From the Steam reviews it looks like a cross between Desktop Dungeons and Minesweeper. The biggest problem with it is apparently its heavy reliance on RNG in the gameplay.
mmmm, I wouldn't want to cut down on GOG and dev sales but this games reminds me VERY HIGHLY of Dungelot on my android smartphone and personally, I find the touch controls more suited to play this kind of game casually... I guess this Runestone Keeper must be as highly addictive and good as the "original" game but I prefer it the mobile way (fun to play while my meal is cooking....)

Dungelot:

Another roguelike, it's starting to feel like that's 90% of the indie releases these days.
Not that interesting to me, but great for those that love 'em I suppose.

Freudian slip? Played a lot of RS (a momprpg, or however you spell it)?

I got the same impression and it's kinda annoying that so many of those roguelike/roguelite games are released nowadays. It's always the same boring formula and i don't like having to restart over and over again.

"Click, click, die, inevitably restart." - No thanks! :D
Hmm, similar to the game Radical Dungeon Sweeper which I got from French Cows long ago, and which never quite was finished. This looks more fully developed and with greater variety. Pretty much a must-have for me.
From the reviews I've seen, it seems that the only thing this game has in common with Minesweeper is that you must click on tiles to reveal what they hide, but in this case there is hardly anything to help you strategise which tiles should be tried and which should definitely be avoided. A pity, then.
