River City Girls is now available DRM-free.

There's trouble once again in River City, and this time only the girls can save the day! Using a variety of attacks, weapons, and items, these hot-blooded heroines are ready to teach the city’s lowlifes a lesson - either solo or in 2-player co-op! It’s an old-school rumble for a new generation!
Dammit. And I just got River City Girls on Steam.
I really want this but apparently you can't remap the controls (according to Steam). This is a deal breaker for me in a fighting game - this drove me up the wall with some of the SNK games here and will do the same to me here.

Wishlisted until this is fixed or perhaps a deep discount if it never is.

What controller are you using?

Keyboard - I might consider picking this up if the default controls were halfway decent (I really love RCR) but apparently the default setting are awkward. I'm aware there are third party options you can use to rebind your keyboard - but if the dev doesn't care enough to make it an option in game then why should I care enough to buy it?

You play KoF with a keyboard?!

Yup, the UM series has especially responsive keyboard controls - surprised even me. I even pulled off some rave attacks - something I've never been able to do in the arcade :D

That is all well and good but i have a genuine question. What about ergonomics? Surely playing KoF (or any other beat em up) with a keyboard can't be doing your carpal region any favours....

I'm no pro, but I feel like if I were to play against you, that I would need to give myself a serious handicap (I have a custom made Joystick with Sanwa parts :p ).

My job involved repeated stress to my carpal region - never once felt uncomfortable playing KoF on keyboard. Just the way I am I guesd.

No, the original ad showed the GOG logo.

Fair enough! As a gamer and avid fan of this particular genre i take good care of my wrists and hands so that they will last me for many more years. So i had to ask.

That being said.... Can't you use software like JoytoKey to remap keyboard controls to your liking?

What so strange about using keyboard for fighting games? I thought that was the optimal option, and only console plebs like me use a gamepad.

Alexim: Will WayForward ever be able to implement basic achievements on GOG Galaxy?
LoL, of course not.

Pyromancer138: Another WayForward game without achievements on GOG.

Thanks, but I'll pass.
Me too. I'm tired about this situation "only for GOG".
