It's just a paper cut.

Rezrog, a turn-based dungeon crawler with distinct tabletop stylings, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Every party member brings something unique to the table. Venture into the procedurally generated dungeons with the hero of your choice to tackle nasty monsters and bring back shiny loot. If you perish or get captured, send another hero to clean up your mess or make some of their own. Just make sure they're properly skilled and leveled up this time, will you?

Watch the trailer.

low rated
n+1 role-playing game release . :(
First impression: interesting. Then I read the "Permadeath" thing, which is a no go.
Why do developers nowadays so often produce games with that shitty permadeath? I don`t get it. Hardrives are big enuff nowadays, so there`s no problem with saving multiple times.
Looks nice. I can't resist buying this kind of s**t...

Permadeath is part of the game challenge, so you are forced to replay again and again... Not done for space saving. And not for the likes of everyone, also.

Don't have to read the rest of the description. These few words are enough to sell me the game. :)

Well said!
Tired of "Permadeath" everywhere...

The only reason why I resist is no Linux version here at GoG. ;)
I love permadeath in dungeon crawlers and roguelike games. It makes your decisions and actions more meaningful and lets you think twice before acting.

I'm afraid many games are getting no Linux release on GoG just because there's still no Galaxy support for Linux. :´(
Sad but true.
This looks really nice!

To add a dissenting opinion, permadeath and roguelite stuff is a definite plus for me.

Might just have to buy this...

Permadeath usually means sucky save system if at all (otherwise death = reload). I re-learned not so long ago this is a no go. And I did not even died once in that game.

Darn right. I'll be very happy when retro, roguelike, procedural do nothings, and any combination thereof fade out of popularity.

Looks quite beautiful and i dig the tabletop style. Somehow it reminds me of that Munchkin card game.

Totally agree. I think permadeath is the most significant core gameplay mechanic that defines roguelikes and while it isn't always suitable in other genres of games, i always like to be given the opportunity to play with it (for example "Iron Man Mode" in various strategy games). If the game saves your progress so you can resume from the same point next time, you can always backup the save files and use them if anything goes south -- not a good practice if you ask me, since it takes away all the stress and the joy of planning everything right.
