budejovice: Welcome to the forums. Thank you for the GOG release! The game looks great. :)
Thanks :) It's great to see so many responses here already. We'll try to keep an eye on the forums here, but release is a busy time!
Their previous game about monkeys looked pretty interesting, this does not look like my cup of tea.
At least regional pricing means I don't even have to consider buying it now.

Monkey game? Are you talking about Reus? I think you have mixed them up with somebody else.

Ooooooh.. I thought it was called Rhesus.

Tannath: I saw -21% off at first, but now it's down to -10%. A mistake then.

I'm really unsure about this one.
I was wondering about the discount. I own Reus here and thought it was lame that you had to own it in order to get a discount. But, I guess they just give an extra discount if you already own it. Which is kind of cool.

I wonder if you can buy Reus now and receive the discount. Seems like you should be able to and possibly even if you buy them together.

Nope, you're thinking of Rhesus pieces.

Is it a positive or negative factor? ;P

You might be right, like they ate in the Temple of Doom.
Sorry to be Mr. Pedantic, but I see a spelling error on the screenshot with the monkeys - it should say "and see".

Anyway, feel free to ignore me at will, I won't easily buy a game for more than $5 (I miss the days when everything on gog was either $2.99 or $4.99) since I'm unemployed and this game doesn't work on either XP or Vista, so I'm out anyway.

edit - This was supposed to be in reply to Abbeygames - which means I'm also technically challenged.

To be even more pedantic, your quotation is incorrect. The text says "an notice", when it should be "and notice". No "see" anywhere. :)

$5.99, but yes, I get that. I've got a large enough backlog of games that I'm not buying anything new for a while. Although, I did break that rule to buy the recent iD pack.
Oooooh, this looks exactly like my cup of tea. :) And I loved Reus too, so I'm even more excited about this release! I'll have to wishlist for now until my backlog clears out a bit, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up buying this at some point. :)
Ever since I bought Reus discounted (unfortunately not on GoG) and enjoyed so much that I felt I didn't pay the developer enough for it, I decided to support the developer by buying his next game on release, so I'll do that now.

Fun fact about Renowned Explorers: The battle grid is created by the voronoi algorithm!
I liked the trailer, it actually let me know what the game was about instead of being just two-second snippets of random gameplay glued together. Looks interesting.

Then it's not a grid, it's a graph :P

gamesfreak64: i have all the HOMM except the 3d versions, i like the HOMM attacks better cause it is less rotating, dynamic, and flashy when a hero is hit. there are weapon flashes but they are bareable :D

the renowned chars. are lit up in 1 color, yellow , blue or other, a simple -22 or -45 would also suffice and still show damage was done (maybe a menu option to turn the hit states off so that char. wont be yellow or flashes(photosensitivity)

the dynamic zooming and appearing after the text your turn(motionsickness)

If this happens once in the game then i can bare it, but 3 or more fights in a row with these flashes are too much
for the eyes (already wear special dark glasses)

Braveland uses a -x number of life when a char. is hit, i almost finished the game and as far as i could see i havent seen any flashy chars.

So basically i have to leave the game as it is, and cant buy it only because of the flashy effects and turning /zooming turning effects, other then that the game is the game type i like :D
i have a few like these, but without the flashy stuff.

I read lots about bardbarian so when it was cheap at steam i got it, decent playabale game BUT
the big boss came around and guess what: thunder lightning and the works, so i removed the game from the drive

Games can still be exciting without : 3d scaling , 3d zooming, lightning flashes, zooming and panning and all that heavy stuff.

see the attachment

AbbeyGames: Hey gamesfreak64, did you try turning on "Quick Encounter Animations" in the Game Settings menu? That might help make things a little bit less flashy and will remove camera zooming.
hi, thanks for the reply
i cant set anything cause i dont have the game and i cant find a playable demo, i had to judge by seeing videos on youtube.

Thank you, I hadn't noticed that. You've saved me some future trouble, I expect.
