Can't spell mother without "moth".

Remothered: Tormented Fathers is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, 50% off until July 13, 1pm UTC.
When Rosemary Reed walked up to the Feltons' mansion, hoping to find out more about a missing girl, she wasn't prepared. Not for the twisted people, consuming inner darkness, or haunting insanity dripping off its walls. Now she must run, fight, and think for her survival, as the dynamics and her perception of things constantly shift and writhe like a fever dream.

Don't forget to add the game's Soundtrack and Artbook to your collection. For more thrills and shrills make sure to check out our Horror weekend sale.

PainOfSalvation: Fantasic release, i hope GOG will bring more survival horrors here. ;)
avatar
CharlesGrey: This isn't really Survival Horror in the traditional sense, is it? As far as I know, it's a modern Stealth Horror game, comparable to Amnesia or Outlast.

But I agree, would be nice if we could get some more classic Horror games here, such as the Resident Evil or Silent Hill games.
Yes, the way i see it - it is survival horror but not in traditional sense like Alone in the Dark or Resident Evil games.

I wonder why GOG isn't bringing ObsCure game back? The Sum 41 intro track which was licenced has been removed from the game (which was the reason why it got pulled from GOG) and both ObsCure games are 4 years now on Steam but nothing on GOG. I wrote to both Mighty Rocket Studio and Focus Home on several occasions but never got any reply.

For people who like these types of games please vote, thank you:

Resident Evil games
Silent Hill games
The Evil Within games
ObsCure games
DreadOut games
Cold Fear
NightCry
Call Of Cthulhu: Dark Corners Of The Earth

gamesfreak64: New games ? thats too bad , hoped for an old game to arrive.

Wadjet Eye releases a new game : august 8 this year :D

https://store.steampowered.com/app/336140/Unavowed/

I assume it will be released here at the same time ?
avatar
Dogmaus: It looks like something from the late 90s though. I thought it had to be a remake, hence re-Mothered, of some 90s game called Mothered.
Curious about the Wadjet Eye release but even more hyped about the new game by the Primordia maker: Fallen Gods. Hope to see it here on release.
Fallen Gods ? doesnt ring a bell, after googling i saw some images , 3d vampire like women? if its a sort of horror/shooting fpp i guess chances are big it will arrive cause games like this are very popular.
I always stick to 2d thats why i replied here after seeing the new wadjet eye game.

SeduceMePlz: Looks interesting. But they lost the purchase by selling the artbook and soundtrack separately - doubling the price of the package from $10 to $21. Wishlisted for now.
avatar
CharlesGrey: Well, did you expect to get it all for 10 bucks? The price for the game seems quite reasonable, and another 10 bucks for the soundtrack ( plus other bonus stuff ) seems fair too, especially as it was apparently composed by a rather well known professional musician. Personally I'd buy the base game, and then decide later on whether the bonus content is worth it, depending on how much I enjoyed the game.
RE went 3d/fpp , i have RE 2 and RE 3 3rd person perspective , 3d/fpp is not my game , it has too many motions and turning and that makes me get wobbly, like riding a carousel on a fair... dizy dizy .... dizzy

Zoidberg: Is this the horror walking sim with absolutely no key rebindings?

https://steamcommunity.com/app/633360/discussions/0/1479856439046611575/

Yes, it is... *sigh*

Another lazy dev...
i like games that allow cursors up down left right to control the movement so i can sue left hand to use the other keys many devs love to use WASD or combination of the WASDZ .....that might work if your lefthanded perhaps cause the left hand will be using the wasd\=z like aright handed used the cursor keys ( not referring to the numkeys but the isolate up done left right.

Primordia IS published by Wadjet Eye.
Fallen Gods is defined as "rpg-ish".

Indie title, unknown dev, recent reviews on Steam are mixed... So yeah, I *do* expect a good price on a complete package if they want to sell it to me.

Given my gaming library, skipping it is no real loss to me - I have plenty of games to play, and I'll pay much less later during a steep sale. It's the dev that loses - for being too shortsighted to at least extend the release discount to the artbook and soundtrack. I *might* have bitten for $15.

ok? I understood exactly 0% of this.

wasd for movement? How much more stupid than that? This is utterly unplayable, why not UEBC while we're at it?

Not caring to implement key rebindings shows an utter lack of respect for your public: left handed, handicapped, non WAS keyboard users or just... people who want to have choice (oh the humanity, protect us against those madmen, they're the worst).

You're an idiot, that's it.

Go release a videogame and then you'll talk, shitface.

Wait, this is another video game made by an Italian software house, I'm glad that after a period of total emptiness are being born a lot of new independent realities.

faccia di merda, since it's an Italian game as Alexim says.

PainOfSalvation: DreadOut games
Please don't support the Dreadout games. The devs until this very day weren't able to fix the simple bug that reverts HD textures back to very low res after you have to reload your save. I ended up doing a workaround (by basically copying all HD textures into the SD folder as well). They continued to release DLC ect. but they never fixed this simple bug.

Oddeus: Has somebody played both Remothered and Conarium and can compare them? What are the similarities and differences? It´s a tough decision which one to buy. Though I´m more into Lovecraftian stuff.
I have just played both a bit but so far it seems pretty obvious that Conarium is more about exploring and puzzles while Remothered is more about simple survival - running, hiding and stealth. Also Conarium is FPP while Remothered is TPP. In Remothered you will only be allowed to save at certain checkpoints and in Conarium you can save wherever you want. I do like both titles so far but because of what I said above they both have a different focus.

One last addition: As said by Zoidberg it's not possible to rebind keys in Remothered. This is possible in Conarium but unfortunately it's not possible to use the arrow keys.

Thanks, looks like Conarium is the game for me.
and the achievements? I do not understand why the achievements are not included in the gog version, when in steam they have

In many cases the achievements were made with Steam in mind and often the devs would have to do additional work to make them work with Galaxy as well. Still does not make it any fairer though since GOG customer are paying the same (or even more) than Steam customers ... but this is just the usual story.

I think that gog should also demand these details from the developers, and thus take care of their clients that demand these things and their platform

Keep in mind that here on GOG there are many people that don't care at all for achievements. I am pretty sure they would rather have the game available here without achievements than not at all. So demanding those might not be the best way for everybody.
