Between a red rock and a destructible place.

UPDATE: You can now add the game's 32-track Soundtrack to your collection, also with a 50% discount. Drop the beat like a hammer!

Red Faction Guerilla: Re-Mars-tered is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, 50% off until July 10, 5pm UTC.

The ultimate Mars demolition simulator returns, now with its exploding bits fully remastered to look better than ever. Carve your own red path on the open-world surface of the Red Planet as a flamboyant member of the Red Faction. Employ guerilla tactics against everything on sight, level fully destructible settlements with aplomb, and exploit the game's temperamental physics as you reduce the Earth Defense Force to cinders.

Aramandur: My thoughts exactly, that was the first thing I checked.
avatar
ThomNG: That won't happen as the old version was not made for GOG and non-Steam version, I fear.

tremere110: Awesome! Thank You! Agents of Mayhem next ;)

ThomNG: That is not our responsibility nor our title, you need to ask our friends of Deep Silver on that ;)
Isn't Deep Silver a Koch Media label and Koch Media is now owned by THQ Nordic...? So please do ask them :)

Anyway, thanks for the awesome day 1 release of this here - as usual!
MULTIPLAYER MAYEHM
It's a mayehm and it shows... :P
So is this game stable now? And no Windows Live? Finally.

Would it work on a Geforce GT1030? Because the system req. are much higher than that of the old version. Yeah, I know, the old version is almost a decade old.
Does it have a level editor?

ThomNG: Wohooo finally :) enjoy Guerrilla as the brand new Re-Mars-tered Edition here on GOG :)

Stay tuned!
Nice, but where are Wreckfest and the preorder option for Pathfinder: Kingsmaker as well as the coming soon-page for MetroExodus?
Edit: Sorry, only read that DeepSilverStuff now. But why is there still any differenence between your two release politics?

I've been bugging them over wreckfest too

Bought. I have been waiting for Red Faction Guerilla to show up here for a few years now. Thank you very much for the release.
Red Faction Gorilla is a great game :D I even have it boxed.
Nice, good to see it here. :)
Nordic... please... just PLEASE, stop with these awful puns whenever you release a remaster of a game. I don't think calling games "DEATHinitive", "WARmastered" or "Re-MARS-tered" is the least bit funny. It's stupid. And makes me cringe.

THQ Nordic could be taking a more hands-off approach to their studio aquisitions. It's been demonstrated in the past that companies that took a more heavy-handed approach often wrecked those studios (look at EA and their aquistions for example). So Deep Silver could be allowed to act mostly autonomously and will hopefully learn from the mistakes that put them in such a position in the first place. As much as I want to see Agents of Mayhem here - saying it was poorly received is an understatement.

That said, I don't think that DRM-free is something that would harm Deep Silver - and I see nothing wrong with suggesting that there are plenty of customers on GoG who will throw money at them if they release their stuff here. I don't even mind if they want to wait a couple months to do so in order to protect those initial sales (in their view). Better a couple months late than not at all - and after most of those initial bugs are fixed.

Deep Silver IS on GOG. They just don't sell some of their IPs in here (I don't really understand why, I'd love to see the Secret Files games getting a GOG release, and I'm pretty sure other fans would buy them instantly, were they to be released here), but they clearly know DRM-free doesn't harm them, as I own all three Saints Row games on GOG (four, if you consider Gat Out of Hell a separate game), plus the two Metro titles, Sacred 2 and the first Risen.

Breja: I never played any of the Red Faction games. Would this be good place to start?
The story is not very complex. You won´t miss anything when starting with Red Faction Guerilla. Also, the first two are pure first person shooters. Guerilla is third person only as far as I know.
