Here we are now, entertain us!



<span class="bold">Rayman Raving Rabbids&trade;</span>, a whacky action game overrun by a horde of rabid invaders hungry for fun, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com.

It's hard to imagine this bunch of fun-craving lunatics slowing down long enough to read this line. Yet, it sums up their antics perfectly. For this army of fluffy, hyperkinetic rabbity things known as Raving Rabbids™ is so out of control that even Rayman has a hard time keeping up with them. See, our beloved, limbless punch-man was having a quiet picnic when he got captured by the invading rabbits and forced to compete with them in a variety of silly, outrageous, but undeniably fun challenges in order to keep them entertained. Don't know about them but it works wonders on us!

Join Rayman's hilarious attempts to beat the bunnies in dance-off competitions, animal races, or arena fights and collect enough plungers to build a makeshift ladder and escape his cell. Got to admit: the unhinged, lovable critters may have a twisted sense of humour but at least they know how to (LAN) party!

...

Oh well, it is good to know at least we know Ubisoft is still putting stuff on GOG, maybe we will eventually get a certain other actual Rayman title with the actual Rayman character and was a LEGENDary sequel to Origins... As well as maybe other eventual Ubisoft titles that require a certain client which is obviously just a excuse to push their digital store front.

If it isn't DRM, it is all these darned store fronts / services that require multiple accounts to bother with. While competition is a good thing, I still prefer not to have to deal with several different stores and their own clients.

I dont get why you guys want to request for games and even hate on it on its official release thread though. Sure it didnt have much substance and once you finish the game its over but at least it was fun for the time you spent playing it a bit. There are people who like it who probably wont whine about it here.

I mean just wait for the official release of the game you want, it may or may not come.

The Rabbids aren't exactly community adored, due to them taking the 'Crazy Frog' route of communication and there were several games from Ubisoft that were probably much higher in people's wishlists.

It doesn't really. I bought it originally for PC back in the day and my then-gf and I had a lot of fun with it, but when we started with consoles, we picked up a three-pack of Rabbids games for the Wii. The motion controls are a revelation for this game, and make the PC (and PS2) version look positively old.

But what if some of us do think the Rabbids and everything about them is garbage?

It was bad enough ubisoft used the Rayman license to shill these abominations when they first came out, but after seeing their annoying faces plastered around the internet in advertising for their increasingly poor looking games for years I started to simply want them to go away. But then Ubisoft stepped over the line with TMNT Smash Up, a game I was so excited for, a supposed celebration of the turtles franchise history and what do I get? Not only an insultingly small roster, but three god damned rabbids.

Now they have a TV series, and I say without any hyperbole that is is the single most obnoxious, insufferable thing I have ever seen on television. I have developed a complete and total, seething hatred for these... things. So when I see Ubisoft finally throwing GOG a bone after WAY too long and this is what they choose to release? Yeah, you bet I'm going to be salty.

i took a quick look and it looks like its all FPP and FPS?
i was googling on it: why are there so many fpp and fps games? every flat 2d game had some kind of a fpp remake, but why?

I am a classic game player i like to play with character i can see, this way we can admire the animations, cause seeing only 2 hands with gloves holding guns and reloading and shooting or in the worst case only a 3d gun, seems easier to create then a fully animated 3pp game .

I guess people would have more fun playing a paintball game with real oponents.

It's only been a couple of months or less; Ubisoft started releasing stuff here again back in mid-2015.

You're right, my bad I forgot about the strategy (and one sim) games they put out here last year, I completely wiped them from my memory as that was during the time GOG was being saturated by them.

But seeing Rabbids as the first "action" game release from them in years, instead of actually bringing more Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Assassin's Creed etc... that still aggravates me, greatly.
