So, is Quake 4 on GOG censored in anyway? If so, won't buy until either an uncensored version is available or 'patches' to uncensor it exist!

Grargar: I liked it, but it's not as fast as the older Quake games.

As for the GOG release, does the version implement the fix below from the get-go?

Steely_Gaze: I just bought it and I can confirm that it does not include the fixes to enable Ultra mode. I had to edit the config file by hand.

Still, didn't take much finagling to get it running and looking good. :D
Isn't there just a patch for that? Like I know how to create a cfg file.

I wonder if the localization files from the original can be used with this version..

Has someone run Q4 using WINE? If it runs decently enough without issues then I'll buy it. There's Q4 for Mac but that version supposedly runs craptasticly on the more recent versions of macOS.

2. Open a private browser window.
3. Open GOG.com and login.
4. Buy Quake 4 with Paypal or credt card.
5. Rejoice as german customer :)

1. Buy Wallet funds, then logout, clear cache, close browser.
2. Login through VPN and buy the games you want. Logout, clear cache, close browser.
3. Login the normal way and change password.

That's how I would do it.

Interesting to see this come here but hell insta purchase cause I love these games no matter the amount of hate it got from some, All I know is this and doom 3 BFG is always welcome here. Now what would be cool is seeing skyrim, That I would love to see here as well as DOOM the new one.

Instabuy for this and BFG. Been waiting for these 2 to come to GOG for a while now, at least the past few years.

Maybe Bethesda is testing the waters on releasing newer games like Skyrim? :)
