Purgatory ain't a bad place to be.

Pyre is now available, 25% off until March 13, 2PM UTC.
The makers of Bastion and Transistor introduce yet another wildly imaginative world. Form a team with the strikingly different exiles you meet and enter ancient, sports-like competitions that will determine who among them gets a second chance away from here. Depending on your choices and the outcome of these fast-paced matches, Pyre's branching story will shift dramatically - there is no fail state. Until, of course, you get too emotionally attached to one of your exceptional companions. As you know, that sort of thing never ends well...

Grab the excellent Soundtrack for your collection.

Which game is missing? I have around 800, so I wouldn't even know if one was missing if it wasn't one that I frequently access. When they have crazy sales, if a game looks interesting and it's only a couple dollars I usually get it, so my library has exploded over the years.
Not sure if I care for the gameplay and general concept of the game, but... Dog with a moustache!

Vythonaut: Sorry for the intervention, but i think your logic is flawed here; as an "outsider" who's just following your discussion out of curiosity (i didn't play Bastion myself, even though i do own it from some old HB bundle), all i see is Enebias accepting the reasons why you don't like the game (he clearly isn't one of them folks who would say something like "i like the game and it is great; if you don't agree with me you're an idiot"), but that doesn't mean he also agrees with you. Enebias may correct me if i'm wrong in this.

Enebias: Yes, spot on. I mean "I acknowledge your opinion" with an implicit "you can prefer whatever you want, it's not my place to judge". I definitely don't agree, but that does not mean that I think he is wrong somehow.
maybe we're having a language issue? if you claim it is a matter of preference, to me that means you prefer games that are as I described Bastion to be, not that you disagreed with my assessment of the game, if you disagree with my assessment of the game, say that, which has nothing to do with preference

you: "bastion is great"

me: "I disagree because: examples given"

you: "I like those things in the examples you give"

me: "just because you like them doesn't mean they're good" (people like mcdonald's, that doesn't make it good)

to me it seems like "someone liking something that is shitty" is a foreign concept to some people

if you enjoy button-mashing, non-plots, and repetitive maps, explain to me why

if you don't think the game was button-mashing, that it had a good story, and the maps were individualized with much variety, you are deluded / simply wrong - yes, it is possible to be wrong about things *gasp*
Finally. I was going to buy this on Steam, but I figured it was going to get released on here eventually. Glad I waited.

Yes, you are giving a great example of that right now. Also of being needlessly condescending.

Sigh.
Often I wonder why I even bother replying. I even go out of my way to keep things calm and polite, but it seems it is not possible, some if you have this need of reasoning for absolutes.

Given the recent developments with your last reply, I will change a bit what I think and provide a slightly different answer in an English as plain as I can, so you won't argue about semantics. Here it goes:

I don't care about your opinion in the slightest and given your rudeness I have no intebtion of wasting my time explaining anything. What I enjoy is my own business and I don't have to report to the Better Taste Police. Your arrogant tone disturbs me, so please avoid bothering me again.

People, you just WANT me to be an ass.

Edit: I don't write a post for ages, I stick to release threads and this is the welcoming committee. I'm afraid the Community is indeed unsalvageable, I have to give credit to the vocal protesters..

Nrgghh...I waited and waited for this to come out on GOG, finally gave up and bought it on Steam like two weeks ago. Dammit.
Bought it on steam on release. Oh well, I may buy it again just to encourage Supergiant to start releasing stuff simultaneously on both platforms. I might be more encouraged to do so if GOG Connect adds a Supergiant game or two to my account (hinthint).

Hear, hear.
The community was doomed from the start, really, given that it's on the Internet. No more efficient place to get your hope squashed that humans might one day just enjoy life and get along with each other.
