Purgatory ain't a bad place to be.

Pyre is now available, 25% off until March 13, 2PM UTC.
The makers of Bastion and Transistor introduce yet another wildly imaginative world. Form a team with the strikingly different exiles you meet and enter ancient, sports-like competitions that will determine who among them gets a second chance away from here. Depending on your choices and the outcome of these fast-paced matches, Pyre's branching story will shift dramatically - there is no fail state. Until, of course, you get too emotionally attached to one of your exceptional companions. As you know, that sort of thing never ends well...

Grab the excellent Soundtrack for your collection.

Vainamoinen: WISHLISTED!

No, seriously, I don't wishlist, I don't understand why people are saying this all the time. Like, what does it express, because, it's definitely not an interest in the game, right.
i take it to mean:

hey, i like your game and i will support you sometime down the road, but right now i can't/won't. it's a "measure" of how much interest there is. i'm sure some developers watch that sort of thing and go, "ah. people DO want the game here."

[eg: potential customers might not have their wages. potential customers might be waiting for a sale. potential customers might be waiting for linux versions. there's a lot of reasons to "express interest" without purchasing.]
i like the artstyle, very creative, but is it me or is everything super blurry

No? Huh. I thought that's exactly what it means. Ah well, I'll wishlist it anyway. Sorry if you don't approve :P

drealmer7: [...] games that are a huge bore: extremely repetitive with buttom mashing and repetitive maps and a lameass story that pretends to be deep when it's shallow as FFF ?
You just described 99.99% of all games, depending in you liking the genre or not.

If you like the genre - then your statement is untrue, if you do not like it - then it is.
Nice to see this finally make its way here and with full Galaxy support to boot.
I love this studios visual styles :)

I'm glad to finally see this here! Thanks GOG and SuperGiant Games!

Not everybody has the money to buy the game when it arrives to gog. Hence why people use the wishlist. But I see I'm just repeating what the others already said.
Ah, the basketball game I've been waiting for. What a nice surprise!

Enebias: I cannot counter your preferences, not liking the game is not wrong.

drealmer7: so by this statement I'll take it that you agree with my assessment, but that you simply like those things

can you at least help me understand why you prefer games that are a huge bore: extremely repetitive with buttom mashing and repetitive maps and a lameass story that pretends to be deep when it's shallow as FFF ?
Can you at least help me understand why you think it is a huge bore with just button mashing, repetitve maps and lameass story?
Take your thoughts, reverse them and you'll have your answer. What something can evoke in a person may vary.
People seem to like Skyrim, too, yet I wouldn't say it is any better than Bastion for the same reasons you listed.
Truth is, I like what I like, there is no particular reason why, no deep meaning. If it resonates with me, I'm good.
Same, if it doesn't with someone alse, it's not like they are wrong.

Sorry for the intervention, but i think your logic is flawed here; as an "outsider" who's just following your discussion out of curiosity (i didn't play Bastion myself, even though i do own it from some old HB bundle), all i see is Enebias accepting the reasons why you don't like the game (he clearly isn't one of them folks who would say something like "i like the game and it is great; if you don't agree with me you're an idiot"), but that doesn't mean he also agrees with you. Enebias may correct me if i'm wrong in this.

Play it if you can.
Its got a great narrative and allows for much exploration into subtexts.
The gameplay is good, not great.
Art style, while subject to personal preference, resonated with me.
And the story was something very deep.
Of course you might not like it, but I will suggest you to give it a shot.

Yes, spot on. I mean "I acknowledge your opinion" with an implicit "you can prefer whatever you want, it's not my place to judge". I definitely don't agree, but that does not mean that I think he is wrong somehow.
