UPDATE: If you are looking to give your punching experience that extra kick, you can now purchase the Punch Club Deluxe Edition Upgrade which includes the game's soundtrack as well as the spiffy artbook. This bonus content is also included in the Punch Club Deluxe Edition.

The black eye of the tiger.

Punch Club, a rocky-solid fighting manager, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Science has irrefutably proven that witnessing your dad's murder in a dark alley yields a 68.3% chance of transforming you into a fist-swinging bringer of street justice. But in order to fulfil this noble destiny one must also train hard, obsess over carbohydrate consumption, and always look good in boxer shorts.

Hit the gym, the steamed chicken breasts, and anyone that looks at you the wrong way or from across the ring. Get used to getting knocked out but never get comfortable with it. Be sure to use your noggin not just to wear out your opponent's mean left but to make the right decisions when customizing your fighting build or juggling your social, financial, and everyday life. The path to your father's killer is paved with sweaty treadmills, loose teeth, and blood-thirsty crowds. Micromanage and fight your way through it for that sweet sweet uppercut of personal gratification.

Learn to always punch high on your road to greatness and start taking about the Punch Club, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Not sure if I'll like it, probably I won't although the fact that there is a story is positive, but the visuals is gorgeous indeed!

fan3l: The story is nice, only that you dont actually fight.
You control the character, help improve skills by training, grab money, etc.
There is areview by elder-geek on youtube.
like Barry McGuigan World Championship Boxing (1989) ?
i played that game and similar games in the 80s-90s

sometimes its not needed to do the joystick/joypad bashing your self.
i am mainly curious how the game plays regarding motions and flashes, old games tend to flash a lot, and these flashes are not very good for my photosensitivity.

so i guess i check the videos out first and decide much later what to do.

markrichardb: Ah bugger, I bought it on Steam a few days ago. Wish I got it here. Cute game. Fights aren't controlled directly, instead you pick a selection of moves each round and watch the results with stat and ability modifiers. Everything outside of fighting is kind of like a life sim where you have to divide time between keeping the refrigerator full, training in the gym, and taking a job to pay for it all.

Painted_Doll: Steam also has a refund policy .
Ya for the first 14 days of purchase, but only if the game has been played for less than two hours. I'm over the limit.

did not played that one, even that i like sport sim or sport manager.
Its graphics reminds me of SNES. Interesting. :)
Anyone with some experience on the story? Without any spoilers, is it an interesting part of the game or just a gimmick?
Nice. Love management type games !!!. Wishlisted for now :D
ah well. Should I consider it before I lose myself in the Darkest Dungeon?

Wishlisted!
I like that the most people here are no spoiled kids and like the graphics and visual style of that game (and the SNES era and/or earlier).

And "Lazy Bear Games", what a really cool name guys! :-)

tinyE: This actually looks really cool, well, to me anyway. :P
IF only we could have extra characters we could punch (such as NES or Tauto) that would be much more envoyable :)
Not really into management sims or boxing, but this game looks pretty fun. Seems to have a good range of gameplay elements/diversity, and I like the attention to detail and the visual style in general.

Well, looking at the overall rating, I beg to differ on the 'spoiled kids' observation. Who cares, honestly; I'll still buy a game regardless of 'popular' opinion.
