Losing is fun.

Prison Architect, the only prison you'll never want to leave, is available now for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com featuring GOG Galaxy achievements with a 33% launch discount.

After two years of alpha - Prison Architect, the premiere prison sim, is finally complete. Since its alpha premiere, it has been played by millions and became something of a household name in the indie scene, and for good reason: Prison Architect is a deep web of interlocking systems that interact with each other in complex, sometimes hilarious ways. Combined with a Dwarf Fortress-like approach, even the most insignificant problem can snowball into total chaos - but no matter what happens, losing is fun.
Playing Prison Architect is like watching the inner workings of a clock - one that you made all by yourself - and the term "like clockwork" will take on a new, particularly satisfying meaning. You'll also tackle moral dilemmas (should you find yourself anything but indifferent). Are you about precision & efficiency, do you believe criminals should be put to work, or would you prefer to do everything in your power to reintegrate them into society? Prison Architect will not be judgmental.
The Prison Architect release introduces two major features: Story Chapters, and Escape Mode.
Story Chapters are a way for new players to get acquainted with the many facets of Prison Architect. In what resembles a condensed alpha experience, the Story Chapters will increase in complexity and introduce more and more features to the game as you go on. You'll be running a full-blown, fully-simulated prison before you know it.
So you've built your prison. You've optimised your fortress of righteousness. Now, are you up to the challenge of escaping your very own creation? In an entertaining gameplay reversal, Escape mode puts you in the shoes of just another prisoner and tasks you with two goals: 1) Get by. 2) Get out. Build up your character from zero to anti hero with a multitude of perks, smuggle a teaspoon and dig your way out, or build up a reputation and start an all-out revolution.

Alongside your game, you can pick up the Aficionado DLC, and score access to the official Artbook as well as OST.

Losing is fun in Prison Architect, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The discount will last for one week, until Tuesday, October 13, 2:59 PM GMT.

tinyE: Right now I'm getting my ass kicked with cell walls. It won't accept a cell as being walled in unless I totally wall it in, AND THEN add the door.

If anyone has a workaround for this, I'm all ears.
As much as I see the easiest solution is to bear in mind that the cell has to be of size 3x2 squares and has to include a bed and toilet and door which are prequisitest for a cell in this game.

Here more about room size and requierements for them: http://devwiki.introversion.co.uk/pa/index.php/Rooms

I got it.

I was building walls over zoned areas which is a big no no.

Give it time and I am sure there will be one :P
bought it on alpha something like more than a year ago on humble store (in fact as idid not use steam, i got it as soon as it was available drm free anywhere), for 15 bucks if i recall... because i could smell a good game from afar. and was right.

i liked playing it even unfinished.

seems that my purchase only consisted in"alpha" version. because as the finale version is now seemingly released on gog (great new for a great game and for patient/unaware gamers), it is region priced (1st mistake from the publisher/devs, i dont blame gog cause they use store credit to bypass regionprice nonsense) but also on my humble account, i only have the alpha, and no final version.

i know gog has nothing to do in the matter but i felt like ranting here a bit to make people realise what kind of person hide behind a good game and two years of paid beta (paid beta without giving out finale version)

i dont feel like giving 20 more bucks to this devs/publisher because making a good game is important, but it's not the only thing that matters: being fair to customers and gamers matters too.

between 5 bucks on steam (drm) early access upgrading to final and 15$+20$ for drm free version, i feel the difference.

I doubt you'll need to pay for the game again. Eventually, they will update your version to the final one on Humble. Alternatively, there should be a key in your account that you can use to register your game with Introversion and download the DRM-Free 1.0 version from there.

Are you sure? I bought the alpha version in a Humble Bundle a while back and mine has updated... (or at least there as an update for it yesterday)
i'm afraid i'm sure...

i checked the hb store and they do sell the final version with the new game modes, as gog does, for a bit cheaper (because i guess they went mad on regional pricing). i purchased my socalled drm free version on january 1st 2014 for 15 us$, for reference.

but in my library, it is an august timestamped one (screenshot enclosed... can someone tell me how much is the filesize different on the final version please ?) i'm sorry, i know this wouldnt really belong to gog forum, unless if one of the below theories is right

so theories are:

1 - humble (bundle/store) logistic and support and account handling are as lame and awful as usual (i mean, it always had been far worse than even "post gog galaxy launch" support :))

2 - drm free in general is badly handled on purpose by non gog platforms or publisher

3 - introversion software like to pee on early customer's head

4 - a little mix of the theories above :)

thank for your feedback, kind folks

of course meanwhile i filled a support request at hb... but given the lack of relevance of the last two support answers they gave me on two other issues, i'd do better good by puting my computer inside a floor drawn pentacle and dancing around allnaked (hey, this could even give out better result)

Djaron: snip
Hmmm. Clearly the bundle version I got is different then (although, it's definitely bugged as I appear to be missing all graphical assets, not a problem I had with previous versions).

Did you get this page:
http://www.introversion.co.uk/prisonarchitect/register/

Because apparently you can register on their site and download it from there (I'm sure I was able to do so at some point but I can't find any kind of key that lets me do so now...)

I bought it as part of Humble Indie Bundle 12. It is updated in my Humble library. I downloaded version 1.0 last night. You shouldn't have to re-buy. Hopefully Humble support gets it sorted for you.

Is your version working?
That's the one I've got and the graphics don't seem to be loading right...
