This Summer Sale on GOG.COM starts with a journey into outer space. In Prey, a climatic sci-fi FPS game, our hero awakes aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. It appears that he was the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever - but at some point, things have gone wrong. The space station is now being overrun by hostile aliens and now your goal can be only one - survival.

Until the end of Summer Sale - on 15th June, 1 PM UTC - Prey is available on GOG.COM with a special 70% discount.

SarahGabriella: Every game on GOG is DRM free with the exception of Gwent as thats a multiplayer game and thus requires a internet connection to play.
Do you know that there was a problem with deus ex md dlc that only worked with internet and gog galaxy?
I want to be sure that problem is not here too.

So not every game on gog was drm-free on release
I'm surprised by how many GOGers yearn for Prey 2006 - myself being one of them. I have a feeling it will eventually arrive here, but I've wanted to try the 2017 version too, so this is a very nice add.
Very nice, Instabuy!
Sweet! I'm tempted to buy it even though my computer probably can't handle it.

Is Prey (2006) in some kind of ownership limbo? We need that one here too! That would be a day 1 buy from so many of us.

LiefLayer: is this game really drm-free? even dlc? can I play it without gog galaxy and offline? I want to be sure before I buy after the last time with deus ex MD.
is Prey: Mooncrash any good?

Mr.Mumbles: ;) ... It is almost 9 years old already.

SarahGabriella: Isnt that online only anyways tho? Or does it have singleplayer?
Singleplayer only, but has Microtransactions in form of the Creation's Club Mod Store.

GameRager: I loved how that game handled dying....you can die, but will resurrect and your health/spirit power is based on how many bad souls you shoot while dead. Nice mechanic imo.
Absolutely, there aren't many games like that. I guess for many death is still taboo. Shame Arkane Sudios didn't try to develop that further in this version, but having played some of it I understand why they wanted the it to be titled Prey.
Wow, this is great, with Metro Exodus as well !!

I still have hope to see other games included in the GoG catalog, like Borderlands, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Dead Island....

MysterD: And I still want Prey 2 (from Human Head) to get finished and released too.
Considering the often-talked about troubled development of the original Prey, the cancellation of Prey 2. and the BS move they did with leaving Rune 2 majorly buggy and unfinished, I have no real confidence of those devs to deliver anything good anymore.

Sarah is all over the Mankind Divided release thread, catching downvotes and guff from other users.

MysterD: I have the Prey 2006 CE from retail in the tin-case w/ the figurine.
And also have Prey 2006 on Steam too.

Also own Prey 2017 too on Steam.

Yep.

And I still want Prey 2 (from Human Head) to get finished and released too.

Pyromancer138: May I ask you a question?
Is Prey 2006 DRM-Free on Steam?
Haven't checked in a while, but it did use CEG way back in the day.
I'll check for sure, once I'm home.

Oh, man; those would be great to be DRM-FREE on GOG.

And if they could convince Ubi to do an offline version of GR: Breakpoint for single-player purposes any way possible (whether they need to re-work it, add bots, or whatever) - yeah, that'd be great.

I'm probably dreaming on that one though.

high rated
If I had to choose between Prey and Prey, I'd definitely go for Prey.

Also, I think it's utterly stupid to name a game exactly the same as an already existing one.
great to see more "AAA" games show up! though older missing id games interest me more (o.g. Doom 3+RoE)
