Reigniting the old flame.

UPDATE: All owners of the game can go ahead and grab the Rum Runner's Pack for free. It adds six new alcohol-themed items and Mirke, a recruitable sidekick that really loves her booze.
If you don't own the Deluxe or Obsidian edition of the game, you can also now purchase the game's Sountrack separately.

Note: If you already own the first Pillars of Eternity on GOG, go to your library and look under Serial Keys. You should see a bonus code which you can use to redeem your Gaun's Pledge DLC for Pillars of Eternity II.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is here, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The sequel to Obsidian's seminal RPG, which brought back all the immersion and attention to detail we remember from the genre's classics, has finally arrived. Introducing naval battle mechanics, a new vast open world, a relationship system that now affects interactions between your companions, and an epic story involving the re-emergence of an old god, it might just become the RPG you'll be replaying for all eternity!

Go for the Deluxe Edition, which includes a Digital P&P Guide, the official OST, the second Volume of the Digital Guidebook and more. You can also grab that stuff separately inside the Explorer's Pack.
Or plan for the future with the Obsidian Edition, which also grants you access to the Season Pass, that contains the first three pieces of planned DLC.

For all those experiencing download problems (greyed out buttons) please try account refresh first:

https://www.gog.com/account/refresh

EDIT: single account refresh will work, please avoid refreshing the account multiple times. There is a slight lag due to the sheer amount of requests, but we are working on speeding things up.

Thank you for your patience.

EDIT2: If after refresh and you are using Galaxy Client and on your shelf you have any other version than "Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire", try buying free DLC for POE2 through the Client. That should force client cache refresh.
(DLC should be visible on Overview page [::PIC::])

previous BETA players
please switch from Public Beta to default branch to get the full version

The refresh made the links appear, whether the Linux version works or not I can tell you in half an hour at best. I have a feeling there's a bit of a load on the servers though.

EDIT: When I click the download link it still says 13.9 GB instead of 20 GB.

Fig backer here, I was able to make some progress, kind of, after the account refresh mentioned above. Now it's in my GOG Galaxy game list, but it does not download (download failed). When I click on the title in the game list it takes me to the usual game management page but it shows a big banner at the bottom saying GOG is Not Connected (which it definitely is), and the game shows as "NOT AUTHORIZED" (which, again, it should be - it's in my library and I was able to click install etc.).

Any ideas? Or do I just need to be patient?

UPDATE: Working now, they appear to have flipped a switch somewhere. :) Guess I did just need to be patient.

Did a refresh and my version changed from Fig backer to regular. Still cannot download from Galaxy (Install button replaced with a Buy button, even though it's in my Library), but I can download it through the website.

mannefriedrich: No problem with downloading the installers for the Fig Ultimate Digital Edition on my end.
Did an account refresh right after the countdown had reached 00:00:00:00 and the files were there.

Only thing that's missing is the Pillars of Eternity Pen and Paper Starter Guide which should be included w/ all Fig Digital Editions from the $45 Premium Digital tier and upwards, if I remember correctly.

Cusith: I don't have access to any files here but you can get the starter guide from the backer portal at obsidian.

It indicates its going to be updated regularly so maybe they decided to hold off pushing it to GOG. Just a guess.
Looks to be the case:
Update: OK, so for release, it's actually 46 pages instead and will continue to grow, so please check back often and let us know your feedback at pnpfeedback@support.net!

Same issue here. If I try to access the downloads through the website instead of Galaxy client then each link I click for a download leads to 404 error.

Randoo: already done. can you fix it instead ?
tks

I have the same issue in Galaxy. It's in the library, but attempting to start a download failed with a "Not Authorized" error and now I just have a buy button as well.
Same here mine now says unauthorised. Apparently everyone on Steam are not only not having this problem they got to preload.

*Regrets*

Try Dling directly from the website instead of through Galaxy. Maybe that will work.

I've done that, now when I open the game in my library I see a big blue 'Buy' button instead of Install.
So we'll pin Thiev's response to the Deadfire problem, but elcook's horrid PR speak in the profile thread was just buried when it was realized to be a stupid stupid response. Got it.

My previous reply seems to have not been posted? I apologize for the double post if it appears later.

Anyway, the account refresh seemed to work at first, but the only edition I have left now, was the one I needed to "buy", instead of the premium fig edition. I tried to download it with the dropdown thing, but it asks me for the code. When I give it, it says it has already been used. Deadfire is in my list of games now, but it just says I'm not authorized.

mahen_fr: Oops, the Linux install file is corrupt (13 GB insteand of 20 GB).
I'm a Fig backer too BTW, I can download (but it's corrupt).
Cheers :)

Pangaea666: Apparently the Linux version is only 13.9GB though, and it says on the page it should be 20GB. I sure hope it isn't borked. I don't have a rapid internet connection so it takes a while. Not too keen to download this game several times to get a working version.

It's an error on our side that we sincerely apologize for. We're re-uploading the Linux version of the game to the website right now.
