Reigniting the old flame.

UPDATE: All owners of the game can go ahead and grab the Rum Runner's Pack for free. It adds six new alcohol-themed items and Mirke, a recruitable sidekick that really loves her booze.
If you don't own the Deluxe or Obsidian edition of the game, you can also now purchase the game's Sountrack separately.

Note: If you already own the first Pillars of Eternity on GOG, go to your library and look under Serial Keys. You should see a bonus code which you can use to redeem your Gaun's Pledge DLC for Pillars of Eternity II.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is here, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The sequel to Obsidian's seminal RPG, which brought back all the immersion and attention to detail we remember from the genre's classics, has finally arrived. Introducing naval battle mechanics, a new vast open world, a relationship system that now affects interactions between your companions, and an epic story involving the re-emergence of an old god, it might just become the RPG you'll be replaying for all eternity!

Go for the Deluxe Edition, which includes a Digital P&P Guide, the official OST, the second Volume of the Digital Guidebook and more. You can also grab that stuff separately inside the Explorer's Pack.
Or plan for the future with the Obsidian Edition, which also grants you access to the Season Pass, that contains the first three pieces of planned DLC.

For all those experiencing download problems (greyed out buttons) please try account refresh first:

https://www.gog.com/account/refresh

EDIT: single account refresh will work, please avoid refreshing the account multiple times. There is a slight lag due to the sheer amount of requests, but we are working on speeding things up.

Thank you for your patience.

EDIT2: If after refresh and you are using Galaxy Client and on your shelf you have any other version than "Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire", try buying free DLC for POE2 through the Client. That should force client cache refresh.
(DLC should be visible on Overview page [::PIC::])

previous BETA players
please switch from Public Beta to default branch to get the full version

Very disappointed in inability to download. Should have stuck with Steam but was thinking about making GOG my primary game repository.

couldn't get a download to work (404) errors until I tried the edge browser. That started the download for me.

This thread justifies my reasonings for never pre-ordering games.
My problems with download didn't last for more of a minute. Also a Obsidian backer.
Would love to play this game that I preorder but literally cant

Says game is installed but the play button wont lit up
Wonderful game.

Edit: seems like my attached pic didn't work, so here's screen of this wonderful mastergem.

Try launching the game directly from the .exe instead of through Galaxy. Go into the install folder and start it from there (not from the launcher but directly from the .exe).
Got the list of downloads after a refresh bit they're all 404
As a backer there seems to be some kind of issue downloading the my game. I can't download in Galaxy, The GOG downloader won't even let me log into it even after changing my password, and after using the link in this forum it "downloaded" the game in less than a second but now tells me I have to buy the game in order to download it...Uh I paid for it months ago. GOG fix your shit or this will be the last time I ever use your services and will go back to Steam.

And still no solution for this shit borderless 800x600 issue and due to galaxy being fucked as usual nVidia experience won't recognize it as a game so I can't do it through them.

Hey, some blue font guy, should I request a refund now?
I can confirm that the solution posted DOES work, but you have to wait a while. Click the refresh link, exit galaxy, go make coffee, come back in 15 minutes, then installation works.

I had the same problem other people mention after just clicking the link ('buy' button appearing, failing to install, redeem key page appearing, etc.)

looks like the refresh process just takes a little time, that's all. For me, around 15 or 20 minutes. My copy is now installed, and runs :)

And thanks to GOG support for letting us know the workaround.

It was definitely not a matter of waiting for me. It was applying the season pass code after waiting for over 40 minutes since the refresh, and others had to attempt to buy the dlc in order to trigger it. I literally saw it burst into life the moment I applied the code, so thanks to posters like Sugarman for working out the workaround from me.
Looks like Obsidian's site has basically keeled over now.

I have "Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Fig Ultimate Digital Edition". I tried refreshing my account and got the GOG bear holding up the world. Also my season pass in now listed as a separate entry that says: "Base game missing. You don't have the base product necessary to play the DLC. You can buy it below or redeem it if you already have the code."

What do I do?

due to the amount of requests, refresh can take up to 15min to kick in
