I'm loving this game so far. It's pretty boss. Really fun.
Hopefully there will be some useful reviews sooner than later. (though I understand it takes people time)
I like it so far. Now it's a bit late so bed time. Progress more tomorrow :)

ShadowWulfe: I don't know what is and what's not currently on Torrent, but I imagine if the GOG release shows up BEFORE the DRM-ed release, then yes, that looks bad on DRM-free and is effectively supporting the paranoia of publisher corporations.
Pirates will pirate. It doesn't matter if they need to wait a few _minutes_ longer for the skidrow guys to remove the steam protection or not. And I hope every pirate who downloads a game, plays it to completion or likes it and then doesn't buy it get a horrible virus which kills his computer.
Great! :)

Gog version of Pilars of Eternity is already on torrentsites. Very sad.
Waiting for more reviews, but does seem cool. I'm just afraid I'll just be comparing it to Baldur's Gate the whole time and not enjoy myself.
Right now, I'm just hating my internet connection. Only 15 hours to go ...
Just redeemed my Kickstarter version. Will play later, Too late right now.
I'm a bit worried about the only written review here on GOG so far. It's a shame that it is already pirated, but even amongst the pirates you will find plenty of people who will eventually pay for the game if they want more games from the developer.

Don't they say that all good things are worth waiting for? And after two years, and a bit, what's an extra 15 hours? :-P

EDIT: Granted, I sort of know how you feel though -- I'd like to buy a copy as soon as I can afford it! :-)

Reading first reviews and comments make me want to get this game more and more, thankfully it's seems to not support XP (and 32bit overall?) so I can't find any excuse and "waste" the money I shouldn't. :P

Also, from what I read so far, seems there is not as many bugs as ppl expected. :)

Still, it's make me kind of sad that there is no any romance with pt members, I realy liked them in Baldur's Gate 2. Oh well...
iv played for a couple hours, and so far allll the potential is there and more.
Something tells me it will be many hours before i can make more of a verdict....

But for me.. this could be the first kickstarted game project to "shoot for the stars".. and possibly made its target.

BG isn't as good as others others (Torment first and foremost, but also Fallout1+2, Arcanum), so I think you should give it a try. It's going to be better than BG/BG2 I think.

AlienMind:
It does matter when pirating the GOG version before the DRM-ed version amounts to an endorsement of DRM.

That kind of shortsighted behavior enhances Steam/Uplay/Origins' position.

Only Infinity Engine games I've played are BG 1-2, but they are my beloved. I can't imagine getting any better. Maybe I'll be pleasantly suprised one day.
