Good to see it here as it has a nice soundtrack, never played it much though.

graspee: This game is actually Pax Imperia 2: the original was only for mac.

It changed hands from Blizzard to THQ midway through development.
Exactly.

Is there a way to adjust the resolution in the game? Or is it locked to something like 640x480?
Another old game i have never heard of... Nice. :D

Though 4x strategy games are not really my cup of tea so i'll probably pass.
I think this game wasn't well received when released. I bought it at release, but the game did not leave any lasting impression on me. I don't remember much about it.

There is only one resolution I'm afraid. Yes it is 640 x 480. It's 2D though and it doesn't spoil it.

Thanks for the info! But it's too bad that there's no way to run it in a window. A lot of late-90s Windows games had that issue. We need a "WinBox" to go along with DOSBox! :P

You couldn't see it if was at a 1:1 pixel ratio on today's big screens.

Is there any planetary conquest in the game? Or is it just space battles only?
I've put some gameplay tips in the game's forum section.

Let battle commence.
