tfishell: Why not add the intro and outro movies as bonus content, so Win 8/8.1 folks don't have to go snooping through the game files if they don't want to? (Maybe legal issues held this back?)

Still, cool release. :) Glad to see Nordic back and of course looking forward to Titan Quest Gold and Supreme Commander Gold showing up here. (And other highly-desired Nordic games.)
Well, it doesn't really qualify as a bonus since it's actual in-game material and not really all that exciting on its own, imho :)

vicklemos: This one!
I've done, in the past, some sorta intense search on this one and couldn't remember its name. So I went all the way through THQ's bankruptcy deal and still didn't remember the name of this forsaken game, because it's also not listed on the wikipedia article. But thanks for another treasure from the past days, both Nordic and GOG!

KubisForce: Sure, we love to bring back old classics!
Bring 'em!!!
Thanks a lot, sir!! :D

I was just thinking since Win 8/8.1 people can't see the intro/outro movies, perhaps you can make those easily available in some fashion, rather than just letting them know the "movies are available within the game's files."

Obviously it's not a huge deal but I'm thinking of some of the GOG users who really aren't computer-proficient and may never have touched their C drive. *shrug*

All of the movies are in a folder called _MOVIES on Windows 8/8.1, it's readily available in the game's own directory :)
Ok, really don't know how I missed this game in the 90s especially since its a RTS game. Nice one. Will buy.
Holy Shit. Seriously? I shelled out like $50 for the System 7 port of this game on my old Mac. I spent a lot of time on this game, but eventually dropped it as I could have sworn the computer was cheating...

As others have stated, you actually can pause and play the game more like a TBS, which was a greatly appreciated feature. I remember that the game had an optional Viceroy system, much like in MoO3. The AI Viceroys were put in place to ease the burden of micromanagement on the player, with the result being that if you so desired, you could literally let the game play itself with little intervention on the part of the player.

thats from a welknown song:

Tubthumping(i get knocked down) by Chumbawamba

youtube.com/watch?v=kS-zK1S5Dws

long time ago some guy(s) made a flashcartoon about a welknown person ,they adapted the texts,
something like lets bomb something

anyways, the game looks okay, wishlisted for now, need to stock up on psc first :D
Space 4x? Right up my alley and already downloading thanks to a very generous gift. :-)
game looks interesting so i searched for it on youtube:

HD Strategies: Pax Imperia ED Gameplay & Review part 3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9G-xTqXuh-E

seems its rts, there is a lot of a repeating female voice whenever you click on ships/shoot the ships that attack,
starts about here: https://youtu.be/9G-xTqXuh-E?t=2m24s
just watch it from there and let it play for a while.

excepted, (boom sound) , excepted .... repeats several click times , while he is clicking to shoot the attackers, thats the only minor point, i played hundreds of games but can remember a game that repeated the voice with a line like excepted , numerous times.

anyways its on the wishlist

edit: I decided to get it now :D

Pax Imperia - Eminent Domain € 5.49

Order total: € 5.49

the way the ships attack looks like good old Blakes 7 (BBC series) those ships always flew just like that when it was viewed onscreen.
Very good series, too bad about the lousy end of the series, all got killed.

Now if we could get Imperium Galactica 2 here... I could relive my youth's favorite 4x RTSs
Is this game similar to Space Empires IV?

More in the lines of Sins of a Solar Empire and Imperium Galactica 2.

Aww! But is there a way to adjust the resolution?
