Maxvorstadt: Is it possible to change the game speed in this game like in Imperium Galactica 2?
Sure it is possible - go to the options screen (F1, if i remember correctly).
And it's definitely not "too slow". In the beginning and on low speed, possibly, but later in the game and on the higher speed settings, you'll find it difficult to keep up with the events. Have fun!
Hmm, maybe I`ll buy this. I liked Imperium Galactica 2 very much, although I generally don`t like RTS games. :-)

Grargar: Huh... another Nordic game.
It was released under the THQ label. Don't blame the game for what happened to it later!
Wow! I played this game so much when I was a kid. Good release GOG!

I don't. I just didn't know that Nordic had the rights for the game.

Pax Imperia has a lot less micro-management than IG2 (especially when you use templates for colony development). And because you can set the time to pass very slowly, you can play it "almost" like a TBS game.
PI is also very different from MOO1 or MOO2 - for example, you move along star lanes (and expect fierce fighting at the choke points!).
One of my all-time favourites.
Never heard of it but looks tasty.
It's Real Time which is my favorite but TWO questions before I buy:

1) does it have movement points?

2) can you pause and command?
Looks very sweet. I enjoyed IG2 so this might do as a replacement til that game comes here.

Yeah, does anyone know exactly which parts of the THQ pie Nordic and Deep Silver got when it was carved up?

I think that Nordic took the vast majority of THQ's catalog (to the point that they also have the rights to use the THQ brand for advertising), with the notable exceptions mentioned in the auction.
Whoa! Great release GOG, many nights have been sacrificed to this game.
4X space game? Sold!

Why not add the intro and outro movies as bonus content, so Win 8/8.1 folks don't have to go snooping through the game files if they don't want to? (Maybe legal issues held this back?)

Still, cool release. :) Glad to see Nordic back and of course looking forward to Titan Quest Gold and Supreme Commander Gold showing up here. (And other highly-desired Nordic games.)
