An uplifting adventure.

<span class="bold">Owlboy</span>, a wonderful flight through old-school aesthetics and unique platforming mechanics, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Otus doesn't say much but his spirit and determination speak volumes. Just as the beloved owlboy is coming of age, a surprise attack by sky pirates forces him to ride the winds of change and begin his turbulent journey across the aching land. To counter-balance his non-violent nature, Otus will enlist several of his less cordial friends, who are able to gun down the monsters that infest his beloved home. Apart from their unique abilities, the owlboy will share with them stories and companionship, as they flap together towards an open-world full of cavernous dungeons, dangerous ruins, and challenging bosses. Remember: carrying is caring!

The game's dreamy OST is available in the <span class="bold">Collector's Edition</span>, available to download right away both on mp3 and FLAC formats!

Grab <span class="bold">Owlboy</span> and take to the pixel-perfect skies, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Yep, definitely getting this as soon as I'm done playing through Dark Souls 3 again.

zgrillo2004: This game looks weird. it looks like a cross between Zelda and mega man.
Much better than that. Zelda and GARGOYLE'S QUEST.
The price is a touch high for a download-exclusive indie release for my taste, and the technical problems I've been hearing about with controllers that aren't official Xbox 360 controllers does concern me a little, especially given the lack of a demo.

If a demo is released and I can test the technical concerns, I'll consider buying it in the €10-15 range, but not at this price, especially as controller problems are unlikely to be covered by the guarantee (as it can technically still be played with the keyboard).
Looks great, but has to go to on to the wishlist for now ...
It's been on my radar for quite sometime, I'm kinda broke right now so I'll whislist for later.

Congrats to the devs on the release and thx GoG for the offer.
Very enjoyable game so far. Word of warning though. The soundtrack titles spoil the game. I'm not a big fan of naming conventions that involve major storyline events.

<Character Name> Battle 1
<Character Name> Battle 2
<Character Name> Battle 3

makes it kinda obvious who the big bad is you know -_-;
the one with THREE boss soundtracks

[EDIT] So don't mess with the soundtrack until after you've beaten the game. Still enjoying myself immensely though.

I downloaded the full soundtrack yesterday, but didn't yet peek... good idea.

Enjoying myself as well, though these last dungeons and bosses were quite a bit too difficult for my taste. :)

I'm having trouble with these last dungeons, too, but at least I'm enjoying the new gunner. :P

Not there yet. Still at two gunners. Still difficult! :)
Just finished the game at roughly 12 hours. Still a lot to see and explore, and it's nice that you get the chance to do so even after beating the final boss.

Definitely worth every cent I spent on it, one of my games of 2016. It was a heart-warming tale in beautiful pixel art and accompanied by a superb soundtrack/sound design. I loved the characters, the gameplay, the difficulty, pretty much everything in this game is amazing. I'm really glad I pre-ordered it.

Thanks to D-Pad Studios for making this game, I can tell a lot of love and effort went into it.

Now, to find and activate that elusive third gold coin the soundtrack references and that I didn't find at all. :P

I'm not sure whether you've been searching frantically for a walkthrough in the meantime, but I think it's possible you can't get that third coin when you've reached the boss/can already go back to Vellie via glistening star memory lane. The third coin is very much in that last "dungeon"... and I'm not sure how much you can backtrack there.

Hope you were lucky though! :)

You can repeat the dungeon if you go back to the Professor's house and enter the rocket again.

I still haven't found the coin, though. :(

Not that I'm too worried about it, I like to keep exploring the beautifully crafted world of Owlboy. :P

I have a feeling I kind of know where it is, thanks anyway :P
