An uplifting adventure.

Owlboy, a wonderful flight through old-school aesthetics and unique platforming mechanics, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Otus doesn't say much but his spirit and determination speak volumes. Just as the beloved owlboy is coming of age, a surprise attack by sky pirates forces him to ride the winds of change and begin his turbulent journey across the aching land. To counter-balance his non-violent nature, Otus will enlist several of his less cordial friends, who are able to gun down the monsters that infest his beloved home. Apart from their unique abilities, the owlboy will share with them stories and companionship, as they flap together towards an open-world full of cavernous dungeons, dangerous ruins, and challenging bosses. Remember: carrying is caring!

The game's dreamy OST is available in the Collector's Edition, available to download right away both on mp3 and FLAC formats!

Grab Owlboy and take to the pixel-perfect skies, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Minmataro: No GoG Galaxy Achievements? I see achievements on Steam version. Hook us up devs we paid the same price as those guys on Steam... :(

Thiev: Achievements are planned post-launch.
Oh that was quick. thanks for the info.
2 hours into this awesome game and I can't get enough. Fortunately, I had no issue, I installed the game and it ran out of the box. So far it's one of my games of 2016, hands down.

Regarding the price, if you're on the fence, I think it's more than worth it. If you love perfect pixel-art, tight platforming and metroidvanias of any kind, you owe yourself a go at this game.

Also, support the amazing devs who kept at it for 9 years to deliver us this game. You can tell there's a lot of dedication and love put into it by playing the prologue alone.
Have to say that this game looks gorgeous, and if the music in the trailer is in the game then the soundtrack must be gorgeous too. However, I see negative reviews on the game card already, at least two complaining about the controls. Are the controls really than bad? Is there Xbox 360 gamepad support?

Thanks for the info! All of that does make the game more attractive. And the dedication of the devs is indeed creditable!
The game runs just fine for me in the .exe that GOG has uploaded 6 PM sharp; only annoyance is that sometimes there's a bar at the top that displays the game without filters/masking (might owe to the 1024x1280 resolution). That's basically it, I'm three hours in and will continue shortly.

Great release!

/edit: No Owlboy forum yet, GOG fix?

I fail to see what's so wrong with the controls... Otus controls with WASD and the mouse. You interact, grab and land with the right mouse button and attack/spin with the left mouse button. Tapping W (up) twice makes Otus fly. These controls work perfect for me, but, in case they didn't, I could rebind them from the options. Plus, yes, there's Xbox and PS4 controller support, according to the options menu.

That being the case, I too fail to see the problem. Thanks for letting me know.
Strange but the first time I launched my firewall asked to let owlboy's exe access Steam, what gives?

Also, where are the savegames located? I need that info to "cloud" them. :)

Thanks, already liking the game! :)
As it seems, this game will be ported soon to Linux (and likely to macOS too). Hope the additional builds reach GOG's shores when they are released and aren't lost on the way!
