Examining the human condition(ing).

Overclocked: A History of Violence, a contemporary psychological thriller, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com with a 75% launch discount.

Some people believe that violence is more of a defense mechanism than it is an offensive act. It is meant to mask our weaknesses by making others feel equally weak. But it might also be the result of traumatizing experiences that people are unconsciously hiding from themselves.

Could that be the case for the five teenagers found wandering the streets of New York during a violent thunderstorm, armed with guns and a horrible sense of unawareness? Specialized psychiatrist David McNamara means to find out by diving into the patients' unconscious, trying to piece together the fragments of (playable) memories they reluctantly share with him. It is a gruelling process that will push McNamara into dark places, forcing him to puzzle his way out while coping with his personal demons.

Unravel the clouded psyche of your violent teen patients in Overclocked: A History of Violence, now DRM-free on GOG.com. The 75% launch discount will last until December 21, 1:59 PM GMT.

foxworks: Thunder stolen. Nicely done! :D
I am like Prometheus, in that I steal from the gods. But not in order to give those gifts to humanity, but rather to turn those gifts upon them. ;)

Tenar: Hell yeah!!! I've been waiting quite a while for this :D Insta-buy! Thanks GOG, you're the best!
you're right about that.
Oh Yes! This is a real treat for us adventure fans! ( :

LOVE this game! Love the story with the teenagers with amnesia, and the psychiatrist trying to help them.
And the side-story of the psychiatrist and his ex-wife is really sad.

Bought it, of course.

Thankyou GOG for bringing us this game.
Insta-bought! Modern adventure games are a rare treat and it's nice to see (this) one on GOG.

To bad I'm broke from present shopping, otherwise this looks interesting.

catpower1980: Snif, from the title, I tought it was going to be a history about processor overclocking :(
Haha, thats exactly what I thought. Having burned so many processors in the past i was excited about the title.
I've played this a long time ago but I still remember how special it felt to play the game in flashbacks and what an interesting form of naration this made. Everybody who likes point and click adventures which are a bit different with well fleshed out characters should buy it. I surely will and this price is like a gift. Thank you GOG and Nordic.
Adventure + Point'n Click = Instabought!

Thanks GOG and Nordic for the growing hole in my wallet.
A game about CPUs?
Flawed game. Barely any puzzle or any challenge. Uneven story. Recommended.
Another fun game to play, come on gog bring on Mystery of the Druids and 15 Days, you know I would buy them. Voted on the wishlist so we can keep them coming.

seppelfred: Good times for fans of good adventures. If only GOG would release the adventures of Jonathan Boakes here (The Lost Crown; Midnight Horror; Blackenrock; The Last Crown).
avatar
ThomNG: The Dark Fall titles by Jonathan Boakes are available here on GOG :)
I already bought them here. ;) But I want more of his games here, because he's a genius. The Lost Crown is a masterpiece, and the sequels look very promising.

Never heard about it but looks very interesting, then again I didn't want to buy any more games this year, hmpf.

PS: A naked chick in the rain? Rawr!
A nice P&C Adventure game. I already own a retail copy, but I bought it here anyway, if only to encourage GOG and Nordic to keep adding more games to the site.

IAmSinistar: My pleasure. I'm a huge fan of Cronenberg's medical horror films, but he is good at whatever he turns his hand to, including the political thrillers of which this film is an instance of. He returned to his original genre with a recent short film called The Nest that is quite disturbing (and NSFW).
So am I, thanks a lot for sharing the link (though, due to the sign in requirement, I had to watch the short at Dailymotion. Unfortunately, I found it quite underwhelming and disappointing but I'd certainly love to read Consumed.
