Examining the human condition(ing).

Overclocked: A History of Violence, a contemporary psychological thriller, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com with a 75% launch discount.

Some people believe that violence is more of a defense mechanism than it is an offensive act. It is meant to mask our weaknesses by making others feel equally weak. But it might also be the result of traumatizing experiences that people are unconsciously hiding from themselves.

Could that be the case for the five teenagers found wandering the streets of New York during a violent thunderstorm, armed with guns and a horrible sense of unawareness? Specialized psychiatrist David McNamara means to find out by diving into the patients' unconscious, trying to piece together the fragments of (playable) memories they reluctantly share with him. It is a gruelling process that will push McNamara into dark places, forcing him to puzzle his way out while coping with his personal demons.

Unravel the clouded psyche of your violent teen patients in Overclocked: A History of Violence, now DRM-free on GOG.com. The 75% launch discount will last until December 21, 1:59 PM GMT.

ThomNG: Enjoy the next House of Tales title being online on GOG :)

And of course enjoy the holidays and new year celebration time!

Stay tuned!
Greetings
Is there any lighter build available? I guess the 5.4GB size is due to uncompressed voice-over audio files.....
Good times for fans of good adventures. If only GOG would release the adventures of Jonathan Boakes here (The Lost Crown; Midnight Horror; Blackenrock; The Last Crown).

It's really nice to see these House of Tales adventures here. They are excellent.

Nice release!

IAmSinistar: That looks interesting indeed. Seems like it might be in the same kind of mold as Fahrenheit, which I personally actually enjoyed. The debut price makes it easy enough to pick up!
Fahrenheit was my first thought too, if it is anything like that I'll probably get a kick out of it too. Probably going to take a punt given the discount.

I will say though that the title immediately made me think it was a movie release and not a game.
Nice release.

Gonchi: ...... and the only thing anyone seems to remember about Mystery of the Druids is the box art.
I liked the bloody finale. I would buy a digital copy here.

Gonchi: Are Mystery of the Druids and 15 Days coming too?
avatar
ThomNG: Just if you can convince GOG what we were not able to do ;)
Thanks ThomNG and we will convince GOG. Eventually. :P

You heard the man people, now back to work, i mean voting! :P

Why, it is supposed to run only on overclocked PCs! :P

ThomNG:
Thanks! Happy holidays to you too!

I haven't heard of this game before. Looks interesting, but also depressing.
I'll take advantage of the launch discount to try it.

I don't know how convincing would be for GOG, but Mystery of the Druids and 15 Days are going to be purchases too!

I thought of the Cronenberg film at first too.

Thanks for mentioning that. I checked and I don't own that movie. Better still the local chain of stores JB HI-FI I buy most movies from has it for $9.98 on blu-ray and maybe 20% off if the have another sale before January. Well that's on my wish list now.

As for this game. Cheap enough for me to just buy now even though I'm not familiar with it.
Hm, I thought this was finally an anime movie release and then as some others noticed it was a game. Interesting response. Nothing for me though.
