I got zero interest in "point and click" games and "sport games" (other than car simulators) yet i never had in mind i do need to constantly wipe them out of my view. If i just want to make a filtered search for games, i guess this should be possible already.

I totally support the ability to filter out stuff for themself someone got interest into it or simply not. However, still have to consider there might be some side effects to those who have no issue with. In my country for example i constantly need to reveal my passport everywhere, else i am not even allowed for buying a 18+ game anymore. Another peoples freedom is my cage... freedom rarely works "both ways", there is always some sacrifice to be made for example "more controlling".

In the end, if we want to fulfill everyones wishes the best way possible, we may become not only a police state, even a police world... i am not so sure this would be toward the benefit for anyone enjoying freedom but surely for those seeking out to become controlled everywhere. However, i think it is not to troublesome simply to create a user setting which is automatically filtering out the stuff some user simply got no interest in.

On Steam it works a bit different: Adult stuff is only visible to users who actually was activating it. However... some users may want to see it but never was figuring out it was actually deactivated automatically, without consent.

Still, many stuff is not even released on Steam because they fear a lawsuit, so they are very careful.

The bad side effects of to much protection and controlling is simply: It will create some barrier to those creating it, decrease the overall quality of those content permanently because quality is always part of the acceptance a society got and acceptance means support. Ultimately there is no way it can become prevented, this is just a fairy tale because the clicks on "erotic content" is top 10 of every country worldwide; there is simply a demand for and this demand will never fade because sexuality is part of humans and it actually is keeping us alive. Without any interest in sexuality we may need "a new police state" enforcing some reproduction "no one wants to execute" else the state or world will simply become wiped out at some point.

Yes, in Japan porn content is forbidden by law. Now are they without sex? Not even nearly... it is probably one of the countries with the highest acceptance for "paid sex" world wide.

Anyway, yes, enabling/disabling adult content should be realistic on the user level.

I'll respect your opinion, but absolutely I'll disagree. While not your kind of genre, I have found several games in this NSFW that I enjoy with or without that content. Lewd games are enjoyable too, like the Larry's and such. But I'll leave you with this - the vast majority of these NSFW type games have a value in that content, it's the primary function (for the most part) So seeing as you don't like that content and would never play these games, of course you're going to see it as trash. I say the same with the majority of RTS games, city-builders, anything like that - just outright boring garbage I have no interest in. The only thing I ever liked about Sim City was being able to destroy everything if I wanted to. Different strokes, mate.

When I first tried the game I experienced several crashes and so I stopped within 30 minutes or so. In the meantime they released a patch (since the game inofficially is still EA I expect several of those to come) and was now able to play a few hours. Just like I thought the game plays almost exactly as Paranoid. Your character (which you can customize if you desire) is walking around the appartment and searching for hotspots. Such hotspots are either collectibles, inventory items (which you can or have to use with other hotspots in the room) or they simply start a small movie loop (character watching TV, driving bike, doing yoga ect.). You can also go out in the staircase which starts a minigame on its own (find the anomalies). You have 5 days to earn your rent and on each day some of the hotspots are a bit different. To earn money you will have to use your PC (that one is new to Nymphomaniac and was not in Paranoid) so that you can contact people who want to have sex with you and who are willing to pay you. However you'll have to figure out which of these are dangerous and which not and you do this by asking questions or asking for actions when they are in front of your door. So far I was pretty bad with it since I died on two "customers" and I was also thrown out when I was unable to get the rent in time. So in the end it is a sort of walking sim with the fokus on sex and/or sexual activites and the addition of a little bit of "dating sim". Technically it's (after the patch) a bit better than Paranoid imo ... the only bug I still experienced (apart from the still shaky bad German localisation and some missing subtitles) was that I was unable to change color in certain haircuts.

Warning: The gamepad support is incomplete. Since it is not officially advertized though it could be that it will not get fixed. Right now you have to either play with kb+m or with a mix of gamepad keyboard and mouse. You can control the character perfectly fine with gamepad but using the computer and playing a certain minigame requires mouse or even the keyboard in addition. Also, you can't change the language using the gamepad - but the setting works fine when using a mouse. Might be a bug but as I said ... gamepad is not officially supported anyway.

Your first assertion is wrong, porn is not forbidden by law here, but the ins and outs of the law (pun intended) are well known/discussed among certain subcultures on the internet and as the law is a matter of public record I imagine some random people on the internet are more well-versed on the law than me living here, not that it affects me much.

Your second assertion is debatable, what do you consider acceptance? Morally acceptable? No. Rarely prosecuted? Maybe. It doesn't mean that people accept it as reasonable behaviour.

Well, those adult stuff is not "the winner"... no matter you enjoy it or not. Perhaps we are exaggerating matters, which is the case if some opinion is rather extreme. However... even if Point and Click or Sports games are the winner on GoG, i may still accept "that burden" as long as enough of other games i am interested in are on GOG.

I know enough of people living in my country but with close to no knowledge about my countries law or culture... so just "living" somewhere is in many cases not sufficient. Genuine interest and willing to learn or adapt is even more valuable... else someone could be on Steam for a eternity and still barely knows anything about games.

It does not even matter how specific law may forbid certain stuff because law is rarely "accurate" which in many cases is a major issue... so the lawyers can fight on a certain incident near endless amount of time, create huge costs, and in the end no one knows for sure whats right or wrong but ultimately so much damage (and cost) has been caused: Almost no one want to participate into a matter that is not very clear and safe for them!

Guess you get me wrong. I do not care if you like it or not; not even if i like it or not. The stuff i truly care is "loss of freedom" and that the society is slowly trying to turn the world into a police state trying to control each others, any games... activities... the stuff they should or should not watch or execute. It is the bigger picture i do worry about. I do not care your small little "aversion" in a bigger pool that got issues way beyond those narrow-minded borders.

No clue, i did not get it. Why? Because i think... regarding the art and visual quality "Agony" was their most precious game so far, which made it into my collection. However... the newest game seems to be using a lot of "recycled old assets" and is in general just cheap, most likely unable to pass my quality demand.

Most likely (not tested) even Paranoid is a better deal. However, it is technically lacking hard with apparently many bugs. Agony was not different but at least it was playable.

Gameplay... i would not bother. Those games are simply fitting if someone like its unique visuals, but just as i said... Agony so far was the only game with sufficient quality for me. Paranoid... not sure yet, i simply fear the broken condition, so i am careful with buying.
