In this game of thrones, you mutate or you die. Horribly.

Nuclear Throne, a wild roguelike where you mutate your way to the throne of a post-apocalyptic world, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com for Windows and Mac (with a Linux version also on its way).

Apocalypses tend to be volatile and unpredictable, but if there's one thing you can count on, it's that once they hit, there's going to be a chaotic struggle for supremacy. What better way to get ahead in this race than with flexible mutant powers and an overpowered arsenal at your disposal? The Nuclear Throne is ripe for the taking, so grab one of the 12 available characters, exploit their unique abilities, and exterminate your opponents. Mutate your limbs in imaginative ways and create incredibly fun combos (of powers and weapons) to survive the frozen cities, underground labs, and vast deserts filled with radiation-fueled enemies. Just make sure to wash your hands afterwards. Assuming you even have hands.

So go out on a limb here and let radiation grant you the power to claim the Nuclear Throne, DRM-free on GOG.com.

PLEASE NOTE: Daily and Weekly challenges are NOT available in the current version of the game but will be added in the future.

We're waiting for some technical issues to get sorted and then we'll release the Linux version ASAP.
I'm a bit sad that after about a month it's finally released without a little 'we're sorry' promo.

It's such a shame that these "rogue-lites" have become more prolific and popular than actual roguelikes. Yet more evidence that the majority of gamers have bad taste.

Also why is this not on GOG yet?

I think actually releasing the Windows version was hard enough for you guys. :P

Or ... I only really played Dungeons of Dredmor, still not a lot compared to other genres though.
Saying the mayority have bad taste is a bit much though.

I've wishlisted this for now, does any one know if you can save between levels ect. or do you have to finish the whole thing in one go?
Cheers.
Good release but you should try releasing (new) games a bit faster, by the time they land on GoG they have already been available on Steam for some time - enough for people to have already purchased them. :( Sometimes even cheaper if they caught a sale.
Lovely to finally see this here, and at a "fair" price too. I'll probably wait for a bit though.

What about the daily/weekly runs, how did they implement it with drm free?
I was hoping for a sale release. The price is the same on Humble and Steam.
