In this game of thrones, you mutate or you die. Horribly.

Nuclear Throne, a wild roguelike where you mutate your way to the throne of a post-apocalyptic world, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com for Windows and Mac (with a Linux version also on its way).

Apocalypses tend to be volatile and unpredictable, but if there's one thing you can count on, it's that once they hit, there's going to be a chaotic struggle for supremacy. What better way to get ahead in this race than with flexible mutant powers and an overpowered arsenal at your disposal? The Nuclear Throne is ripe for the taking, so grab one of the 12 available characters, exploit their unique abilities, and exterminate your opponents. Mutate your limbs in imaginative ways and create incredibly fun combos (of powers and weapons) to survive the frozen cities, underground labs, and vast deserts filled with radiation-fueled enemies. Just make sure to wash your hands afterwards. Assuming you even have hands.

So go out on a limb here and let radiation grant you the power to claim the Nuclear Throne, DRM-free on GOG.com.

PLEASE NOTE: Daily and Weekly challenges are NOT available in the current version of the game but will be added in the future.

i want this game too. but all the waiting is making me have to go #2.
Seeing this thread bumped I was thinking "Finally it's released for real", except it was not.

Something I just read on its Steam page: This game is locked to 30 frames per second.

Yeah it is. The original version was made for a game jam or something.
They expanded on that and could no longer change it.

So does anyone know what really happened to the game? Did it not reach criticality?
Is it to soon for any DOOM (not the game) threads? ;)

Yes it is. A better time for DOOM would be if nothing occurs till the end of January.

omega64: It's not?
What's different?

rampancy: It's not available via RSS or iTunes, or through any other podcast directory or app. It's not even something you can download as an audio file for later playback offline on a mobile device or computer. It's just a Twitch stream that can be viewed later on YouTube. It's like they don't even know what a podcast actually is. As Crosmando mentioned earlier, it's like GOG is stuck in the middle of Amateur Hour.
We're working on getting a audio version available and other things of that nature. Thank you for your concern.
Was NT released on GOG in a parallel world? :P

As has been mentioned in the GOGCast thread, the audio has been recorded locally by every participant to ensure better audio quality. It'll take some time to assemble it all and upload it.
When that is done there are plans to make it available via various sources.
And yes, the Stream Team, who are unpaid volunteers supporting GOG, still has things to learn and things to figure out.
We strive to be better in the future and are happy about your input. :-)
This is almost as entertaining as when GOG got the language posts mixed up. :)
