Kisima Inŋitchuŋa.

Never Alone Arctic Collection, half climactic puzzle-platformer, half lesson on a different world, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Look out for the release at 67% off in the Big Fall Sale 24-hour Daily Deals!

Some games are good. Some games are important. Some are honest. Never Alone is all of those things.
Not long ago, the indigenous Alaskan community found themselves searching and searching for an investment that will both bring in more money to the community, and help promote their rather unfamiliar culture across the world. So, what better way to do that than by funding a video game?
Never Alone is as much a game as it is a historical piece on a culture most of us have heard of, but are hardly familiar with. There's love for the subject matter at every turn. The story, an old Iñupiaq folk tale, is narrated in the native language and supplemented with beautiful cutscenes that mimic the traditional ink art of the Alaskan people. As you play you'll unlock short videos, legitimately interesting cultural insights into the realities of growing up in an entirely different world than we're used to.

The Arctic Collection includes single player and local co-op, as well as a few extra hours of gameplay and a new folk tale with the Fox Tales DLC.

Life is treacherous and sudden in the snow covered wastelands of Alaska, and Never Alone Arctic Collection brings it out with love and respect, now DRM-free on GOG.com.
This game looks interesting! Is it like a puzzle game? Does it have a windowed mode?
Ah! Interesting release, I had my eyes on this game when it officialy launched, straight into my GOGmix and I'll see If I have some spare money to get it :o)

From what I remember, it was slightly on the puzzle side (the classic "use your pet abilities" to advance) but it was considered as easy and short.

GOG should do a contest about "think you can you pronounce Kisima Inŋitchuŋa like an inuit? Record it and give it a go!" and then offer codes as rewards ;P

Fantastic release.
Made me reconsider all -mostly crap stuff- I thought I knew about modern day inuit people, much like the almighty Super Shamou and etc! ;D
wow, I normally dont go in for platformers but this game looks so lovely and unique.... I'm sorely tempted
I am not interested much in this one but it renewed my hope in Ori and the Blind Forest. If this one came several months after release there is hope Ori will appear one day too.
Not that they have anything in common apart being platformers but they were games of similar profile so I have them somewhat connected in this regard.

Yes, I'm quite fond of this game myself ;-p
I was sure this wasn't here last time I checked. Very nice.
And bought! Heard about this game before, and it seems quite charming and unique, so I couldn't resist.

A bit unfortunate that it's released during a major promo. Then again, the game itself is rather heavily discounted too. ( Which makes you wonder if the pricing makes much sense, when they offer it at a third of its regular price right at release, and then go back to full price later. )

But in any case, seems like a nice game -- thanks to GOG and the devs for bringing it here.
Yes! Instabuy the moment I get home.

I was really interested in this game but it was indie, so DRM-free was the only way :).
Of course I have to buy! Thank you GOG for adding it to the catalog :D

My husband used to work for a subsidiary of the Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation out of Barrow, Alaska, although we live in Georgia (the US state, not the country). I always got a kick out of watching the expressions on the faces of people having to type that in on forms at the doctor's office, school, etc. :)
What a beautiful game :)
Oh, what a surprise to find this wonderful game here during a sale.
I waited so long for it - instabought!
Thanks devs and GOG, that made my day. :)
Nice one. I remember voted in the wishlist for this. Interesting premises of the story. Another game into my wishlist.
Looks a bit like Limbo (good), but lacks a Linux port (bad).
