Death becomes you.

NECROPOLIS, a merciless action/roguelite where death is its own reward, is available now for single-player gameplay on Windows, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Who doesn't enjoy a spectacular, brutal, educational death? Especially if it's permanent, which means all your hard-earned or crafted gear, your elixirs, and any trust you had in your friends now lie shattered on the floor of an accursed, constantly-shifting dungeon.
But it also means that you get to start fresh, armed with more knowledge, better-honed skills, new tools, and unlockable abilities. So you've got no excuse if you die again. And again. And again. And one time after that. Then two more. Yes that's it, you're getting the hang of this now.

The GOG.com release currently supports single-player mode and offline functionality on Windows. OS X support, as well as GOG Galaxy support for achievements & multiplayer is coming in the near future. Stay tuned for updates from GOG.com and Harebrained Schemes.

So it's crippled while the Steam version is complete?

Also why isn't the soundtrack available at release??

About: Pre-purchase NECROPOLIS and you'll also receive a copy of the NECROPOLIS Original Soundtrack when the game is released! A sample of the score from composer Jon Everist is available here.

MESSAGE FROM GOG.COM
The pre-order bonus soundtrack for Necropolis will be available for qualified purchasers soon.

I really should stop pre-ordering... ><
The soundtrack will be here, there was a technical issue that came up at the last minute that prevented us from getting you the soundtrack right at release time. You will get it as soon as that is done, which hopefully won't be long :)

Piranjade: It plays like a mix of Barony and Dark Souls.
I personally find the graphics gorgeous.
O my. Barony, along with Eldritch & Delver, for me deliver the FPP rouge-leik with the correct balance of frustration & progress. Don't Starve does it too; but I just can't bring myself to watch Wilson suffer ;(

aaand this is about as close as GoG's gonna get to selling Dark Souls.

So, insta-purchase - and at full price. Well, once Mac & Linux get here.
This seems superinteresting as a Souls fan.
Why haven't the New and Upcoming lists been updated? Is anyone else seeing this? Necropolis is still in the Upcoming list, the new Worms game isn't there, and the new DLC for The Real Texas isn't in the New list.
It looks really interesting, as it scratches that Eldritch itch. But $30.00 USD, technical issues at day one, along with massive hardware requirements? I'm wishlisting this for now.

30$ thats alot of cash to cough up: ** cough **
I'm not wishlisting anymore, there's nothing to wishlist anymore, i cant afford to build another pc, so if the new games will all be like this , well then its no new games for me ( i hope the AGS adventures will be coming soon again)
and most releases of old games also seem to become to 'big' for my pc... so i guess i be thrown back to casual games again unfortunately.

Last year i was able to buy so many good old games and new games..... which made my wallet cry for mercy : D
2014 was a very bad year my wallet bursted from all the buys it made, it tore apart completley , had to buy me a new wallet, but since the last 6 months this year its becoming obese ....

Anyway the worst thing is the fact that so many other available good games (like nelly cootalot and the fowl fleet)
were 'rejected' or something like that (read it in a post somewhere)
I dont understand why cause Steam has games that seem to sell far less then other games on Steam, but these games are still available and they're not removed from the store.

Well, Steam is on for a long time already and is fully functional, including servers and tools for working multiplayer. Galaxy is still WIP :(
so, basically they fully utilized the steam library nat punch through and master server features instead of a 3rd party one and now gog users are fucked
\o/
and when they finally put in double the programming effort to utilize that exact same feature of the galaxy library, we still don't know if one can join a match opened by someone on the steam version.
double - \o/

Just bringing to the attention of GOG's staff that the game is still appearing under the "Upcoming" tab and is not appearing under the "New" tab on the homepage.

Edit: Just saw MarioFace5 had reported this an hour ago. Will try to be more diligent next time and not repost something. My bad.

Just for the record, does this only affect the game's multiplayer features? ( Does it even have a proper single-player mode, or is it mostly designed as a multiplayer game? )

As a side-note, I just watched the game's trailer and thought it was kinda annoying. Instead of showing much of the actual gameplay mechanics, it seemed to focus entirely on the "you'll die a lot" cliché. I hope that's not all the game has got going for it.
Hmmm, it has "mixed" steam reviews (66% positive) at this moment, so I would be careful with that.
Looks nice. Is there any sort of end game to this? game length etc? (price is a bit steep for me...)
Procedurally generated levels; permadeath.

I guess that's really all there is anymore.
This looks like like one of those incredibly frustrating games. Interesting, but frustrating.
