In the mood for strategy building simulation? Great! Because the newest Nebuchadnezzar DLC is here – The Adventures of Sargon!

Nebuchadnezzar is a classic isometric city builder game that’ll invite you to experience the mysterious history and culture of ancient Mesopotamia. You’ll get to build your city, while overseeing the manufacturing of different agriculture and goods for your population. That’s not all though; you’ll have to solve problems, prevent population loss, trade with other cities and handle foreign relationships, all while taking care of varying classes and employee types across industries and services.

In Nebuchadnezzar: The Adventures of Sargon, you’ll meet a slightly different, story-focused gameplay; you’ll take up the role of one of the most famous rulers of ancient Mesopotamia, Sargon II, to relive all of his important campaigns and achievements. This time, your quest will include suppressing dangerous rebellions, conquering the surrounding empires and, ultimately, restoring the glory of the Assyrian Empire.

Put your strategy to the test, now on GOG!

Is the game similar to Pharaoh or Caesar 3?

Haven't had the time yet to play it seriously and really get into it, but I'd say yes.
There's definitely similarity in regards to the setting, obviously.
I know it's a small discount ( 10% off ) , but are we second class customers for not receiving the same discount for the bundle like others in another online store ?
That's funny how I looked at the game again, and I thought: it would be nice to play it while waiting for a Pharaoh: A New Era release. And today we got the release day for the Pharaoh remake, which is next week. I guess I want to play both now? :-)

Yes. It also has some much needed QOL features. And it's visually beautiful. It had a rough start at launch but they've improved and polished the game with each successive update.

The new Pharaoh also looks solid. I don't like the cartoonish looks of walkers though.
superb! this historical era is quite neglected in games, yet it is the very cradle of civilization

To be fair, in that other online store the bundle is a fixed price one, so if you already own the base game you can get the discounted bundle at about 3 times the cost of the single dlc it contains.
I read the reviews and there are two helpful reviews:
One claim that it's not up to par to the classic city building games
Second one claim that the updates make it better.

The question is, better as in getting up to par with the classics or the game still in development?

Well, elsewhere the reviews currently are "very positive", and the negative ones mostly went away after the first couple of months.
