Looks nice, and I liked their previous game, so I'll probably pick it up. Hopefully they have optimised this one, though, as the previous one uses insane amounts of CPU time.

I also liked Epistory which was the first typing game I ever bought. As opposed to Nanotale I discovered Epistory during a sale years after its release. My verdict was that if it hadn't been on sale I would have bought it at full price. Now I got the opportunity to pick this one up at full price hoping to get the same positive experience playing it as was the case with Epistory. :-)

Yay for Belgian Devs! ;)

Didn't get too much into Epistory but this sure was original. :)
More typing goodness. :)
Looking at the trailer it reminded me a lot of Epistory and seeing that they are the same devs I am sure that I will like the game as I liked Epistory. Will wait for a price drop though so to the wishlist it goes.

From the description: "EVERY key is rebindable" - I guess Zoidberg is now in heaven ;)
Any chance this might still run in Windows 7, just not supported, or is it truly Windows 10 only? I really loved Epistory and would love to give this a try.
The little "related games" box at the bottom right does not even show epistory. Ai, gog.
Looks great and I hope for its success and people's enjoyment, but seeing as I can't type for shit, this will be a hard pass from me... Maybe when I take up typing lessons...

I can confirm that it is possible to rebind all keys.

Sad to say that I had to request a refund for this game. It is very poorly optimized, eating up 98% GPU resources, making the game run very choppy and anything but fun to play ... For 19.99 this is not acceptable ... I'll keep it on my radar and purchase when they fix this and other possible issues.

What's your GPU model?
I also enjoyed the predecessor a lot. But this one supports achievements on steam, but not here. Since I am still in the decision making process of buying it, I have to say NO for the time being.

Mr.Mumbles: What's your GPU model?
It's an Asus ROG Strix GeForce GTX1070-8G Gaming (8GB / DDR5). Lowering graphic quality in game and disabling/enabling the in-game V-sync option did nothing to solve the problem. I also down-clocked the GPU to stock and had V-Sync enabled in the NVcpl, had set an fps-limit of 58 (due to G-Sync being enabled, disabled it - because this can cause fps-spikes), tried @30fps, which didn't solve this problem. Drivers and settings were found to be up-to-date and hardware check didn't return any issues.

Over at Steam there is one other GOG customer reporting the same problem, though in their case Nanotale utilizes 100% This person uses a GeForce RTX 3080 w/ Nvidia drivers 461.92 so hardware isn't likely an issue, not in my case, anyway.

My guess is that it is Unity, very likely as this is a well known problem, in combination with bad optimization causing the issue causing me to request a refund. 19,99 is just a tad bit too much money to sit it out waiting until eventually a fix becomes available for what this game is. ;-)

I'm a sucker for typing games even when I'm complete crap in typing (11 style typists rise up!) I hope this game has forgiving setting for sucky typist like me. But for now I will try Epistory first because discount.

If Nanotale is anyway like Epistory (which I loved!) it should adapt difficulty to your performance. Here is an informative post you may wish to read to understand how their system works. Adaptive difficulty (Epistory)
