dkoudrin: Two problems with this game - 1. The configure keys (C) doesn't work - doesn't seem to do anything. 2. You can't seem to save the game? There's no shortcut (I've literally pressed every key), or a 'save' option in the main menu. Pretty sure the original let you save after every level.
When you go to select difficulty and episode, you can use the left/right keys to select the level. Each level you complete is unlocked and can be replayed.

1. Configure keys (C) option actually works, it wasn't on initial release but a fix 1.0.0.3 was rolled out yesterday, the issue is with Offline installer which is still 1.0.0.2, Galaxy update is ready for use.

2. You can't save within the level, but your game data changes accordingly and you can select every completed level plus the next one. In the original game you could save and restart from the beginning of that same level (see attached), so basically it's the same approach but better. Also in Monster Bash HD you can't die (could be a bug), while in original game it's 3 lives at the beginning.

I think it's an intentional quality of life improvement. Instead of forcing you to start the level from the beginning after X number of deaths, you get a higher point bonus for dying less.
