Outrunning oppression.

Mirror's Edge™, the energetic free-running action game with the striking visual design, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 50% launch discount.

The gleaming, utopian appearance of the city cannot fool Faith. She's seen how things are run around here, with everyday activity being monitored closely and sensitive pieces of information constantly changing hands high above the oblivious citizens. Now her sister is being framed for a crime she didn't commit and Faith must employ every bit of her resourcefulness and parkour talents to run the rooftops, avoid the authorities, and expose the truth.
The revolutionary first-person running mechanics and intense hand-to-hand combat make Mirror's Edge™ into a spectacular action romp, boosted by its pristine aesthetics and unmatched sense of flow. Leap, climb, race, and slide across the dangerous cityscape, always staying mindful of your surroundings and occasionally being ready to flee rather than fight, when the situation grows desperate.

Navigate Faith through high-speed chases atop the city's skyscrapers and discover what's hiding behind the Mirror's Edge™, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 50% discount will last until September 29, 12:59 PM UTC.

Oh! Neat to see it here.

Not buying it again though, twice is fine already! Ahah! Oh and not at this overblown price either!

Hey EA! Offer it for those who own it on Steam, that'd be cool!

JKeift: And with regional pricing too! Only $3 here in Argentina. I'm really glad to see this being implemented here, you're among the few storefronts that actually give us fair prices instead of charging US and European prices. Thank you GOG / EA.
Wow!

That's a lost sale from me then. Good job EA!

acute71: Please stop this bitching. If you wnat to buy these games. Fine. Do it. If you do not want to buy these games for whatever reason. Fine. Don't. At least EA and also Activision (although even more expensive ;) are releasing "new" games here. Many of the publishers "on-board" are not (Paradox, Deep Silver, Square Enix, etc).

I do not know if EA people are following posts like this (probably not), but they are not really motivating.
That may be true but keep in mind also that words spoken in the forums are much more likely to have an effect on indie devs that are passionate and very personal about their games who take public words too much to heart, while big companies like EA probably never even read such messages or care what people say. They know there are always going to be people saying good things and bad things about their games and their business practices, etc. A big company like EA isn't going to make emotional based decisions because of 3 people in a GOG forum thread ranting about something. :)

EA and big companies like them are going to make their decisions more likely based purely on projected sales figures that they derive from demographics provided by GOG based on past sales figures of other games they have in the store as well as other elements they can use to gauge the profitability of shipping a game here. These big companies probably have the thickest skin imaginable to the point where even if every single post was hostile to them they wouldn't care remotely - so long as the money came pouring in in amounts that equal or exceed their projections.

While negative comments about them aren't helpful, I dont really think such have any major effect at the end of the day either. Perhaps for smaller companies and much more highly likely for emotional indie devs making games to get money to buy Kraft Dinner though. :)

yukiai01: But sountrack must be added. Really
Or you can buy one of the many Solar Fields album ;)

I personally have a preference for "Earthshine" (beats-driven)

Awesome to see this game here, one of my favs for sure. I bought it as a birthday gift and most likely what I'll be playing this weekend.
Didn't expect more EA titles this quickly, especially Mirror's Edge.

Nicole28: This is a good release! Perhaps sometime the Denuvo infested sequel "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" could arrive here in the foreseeable future.
Maybe in 2023.

fronzelneekburm: So, uhm, this has flat worldwide pricing, am I right?
No, it's not. US price is $19.99, price for me is $20.27, price for Sweden probably even higher and there were already reported massive discounts for South America ($6.19 for Argentina). And as always Russia will get the lowest price.

So absolutely no flat pricing.

Nice. I will buy it as soon as I complete some games in my backlog (at least 2 to be able to decrease the number of total games)...
I don't know if I will like it but this is a game that seem good and there is a mac wrapper ready for use.

I'm happy that EA publish many games here, first it was dragon age origins, now mirror's edge, I'm really happy.
That "™" is important since there is already an old game names Mirror's Edge.

IronArcturus: Does Mirror's Edge work with an Xbox 360 controller?
The Xbox 360 controller is the actual preffered way to play it by the game.
Man, i already have it on Xbox and Steam. Still glad to see it here.

I saw someone in reddit post that Mass Effect 1 will be reaching GOG.

Same guy said that the reason The Sims have never got to GOG is because they all still sell well for EA.

Also glad to see it is only $6 in Mexico. That's decent for GOG.

83.99 kr
I paid 20 kr for this at Gamestop.

Still though, it's an excellent game. Always good to see EA release more of their recent titles here :) I have a friend that is endlessly recommending Spore.

I'd like to see the extra DLC included with Mass Effect. I would be interested in complete versions of Sims 1 or 2, depending on the price. I never really got into it due to the crazy amount of expansions.

Digital_CHE: It seems that EA is finally learning....

Instabuy :)

By the way, the full price in Argentina is 6,19 and the discounted is 3,09
Yeah, same for Mexico. That's quite decent for a GOG release.

So you refuse to buy from a publisher that sets fair prices according to the average income of each specific region, among other factors. That's like me saying I'm not buying any more games because Russians get even better prices than I do. Forgive me if I consider that attitude to be a little entitled and selfish.
